If we are talking about Project 1047 Dutch cruiser, it would have mounted same 283mm seen on Deutschland Class or newer Scharnhorst Class' and think none would say they were not accurate or short range...

i just love their pronounciation of Dutch names. took me a while to understand what they meant, but thats entertaining. having a language that noone outside of the Dutch language sphere can pronounce is kinda fun. Same goes for my name which noone has ever come close to pronoucing correctly.

If only these ships looked even remotely like the blueprints there "modeled after" there's so much potential they could have a cl line a ca line bc line a dd line and an all gun dd line a sub line along with a bb and cv line if only the devs cared enough to make historically accurate ships and well articulated lines

There is some options for carriers they had 2 different classes of escort carriers plus karldoorman before and after the refit the dutch had a major naval rearmarment program there were no official plans for a carrier there was a general need for one expressed and airforces were heavily involved with the Dutch navy the project 1047 battlecruiser was planned to be 3 ships but interestingly 4 different shipyards were selected to build the battlecruisers the general belief is that the 4th would have been used to build a carrier on the project 1047 hull

Well, at least these are tech tree ships. Let's hope they stop adding premium ship in every update. Maybe they should take a break from making ships and working on Bug fixes, adding new game modes, scenario battles, and improving convoys (put subs in it and have them no know where the convoy will go) this would be a true assymetric battle (sub vs destroy/CL).

The addition of these ships made me try the game but i just can't get over the hp mechanic. If i shoot an ammo storage with a 203mm shell, your ship is toast instead of '-10 hp'.

The Airstrike is an own weapontype not a consumable, right? WG compared it with torpedolaunchers as an own weapontype. Every weapontype like mainbattery, secondary battery and torpedolaunchers can be take out temporary or get permanently dedtroyed. Except airstrikes. In my opinion it should be possible to destroy temporary and permanently the ability for dutch cruisers to launch this airstrikes.

The main issue with D7P is the matchmaking -> t8-10/t7-9/t6-8 like 60/30/10% ... I regurarly play my D7P ... I cant recall a t6-8 random match in weeks recently ...

Need Dutch destroyers, submarines and the battlecruiser Holland class. Also, De Ruyter should be a higher tier imho as it was the most iconic ship of the Dutch navy in WW2. And….remove airstrikes and give them torpedoes instead

“Good armor” 30mm and 25mm deck is not good with all the 30mm overmatch you are putting in the game and HE does not care about any armor to start a fire and a lot of HE can pen 30mm or more at high tier

The dutch tech tree is surely not popular at all - I mainly play randoms t7-10 .. sometimes I see them, mostly Haarlems ... otherwise they practically not played at all. Got the D7P premium ... which is okay-ish. All-in-all dutch cruisers are pretty underwhelming - weak, inaccurate guns ... weak, easily avoidable air strikes ... they will really need a serious power-up sooner or later ... (actually like the airstrike cocept, but it needs a serious tuning) ...

@@enalche2 They couldnt even maintain a lend british battleship. Its guns where fused in place as they didnt even rotate the turrets to keep them in working order. Even a few years ago they orderd ships in france , they got canceld and france scrapped them as beeing useless.

@@IchiroSkywalker that would be a buff for CVs, and we definitely cant have that /s In all seriousness, it's not that big of an issue. They're a hassle to attack directly, but they dont have many AA mounts so you dont need much HE to clear the way

Regarding the history: shame that you modified the actual Project 1047 designs so much that they're barely recognizable, meaning the entire part about letting Dutch projects face off against other ships is meaningless. Regarding the gameplay: shame that the high tiers get supercruiser downsides while still having cruiser-caliber guns (apart from the tier X), meaning that the line looks painful to play. I'll pass.
