I think the Church represents the Love, Mercy and Grace of ALMIGHTY GOD, and our giving and concern is an outward expression of our love for our LORD; our examples and faith should guide people toward CHRIST! I think civic organizations reflect a societal structure that exists to help those in need or crisis; they bring the community together to help others and also maintain order and cohesion in the community. Their purpose is not directly related to guiding people toward CHRIST.

My discernment is the Church in ancient Scripture says we are the Bride of Jesus. To follow His teachings and spread that thru out the earth. I think we do that now thru the internet spreading His Word that is alive as it reaches more people. This generation must study the world of God and not have itching ears... I found that the earlier century theologians have rightly divided the word of truth and still had a backbone to preach it like this man of God Mr. Jackson. Try 15th or 16th century Bible theologians like Matthew Henry and Jonathan Edwards. I also like A.W. pink and I love CH Spurgeon. I'm a black lady who has been born again and loving Christ with my whole heart for 30 years now. I thank God for Mr. Allen Jackson he's one of my modern day favorites.

This came at a perfect time for me. I heard a "prophet" on youtube today saying what God said to him to tell everyone. His preaching was fiery and dotted with scripture that he embellished with his interpretation, telling people that God said this, and of course, if you questioned it, you were lost and going to hell. I stopped listening about halfway through. I believe there are people with the gift of prophesy but when it wanders into anything that is not said in scripture, it is false Prophesy.

i think u are conflating the term prophet or prophesy with something else. just because someone predicts something correctly doesn't make them a prophet, neither does being able to interpret the scriptures correctly. (we all interpret the scriptures, we either interpret correctly and get it right or we get it wrong because there is only truth and untruth) likewise, receiving messages from the Holy Spirit about something or someone doesent make them a prophet, especially when that message is supposedly meant for multiple people. i should be backing this up with scripture right now and since none come to mind ill take it as my cue to shut up already and go study scripture. God bless. ps i stopped not because im not confident that there is scripture to backup my claims, i stopped because of my own failure to know exactly where to find it or recite it by at least by paraphrasing

This sermon was 11 months ago, but it just came up in my suggested feed today, so I listened. So many thoughts. Pastor talks about Saul being an old king being replaced. Our government just did a similar thing, although a different level of character in the leader being replaced. That aside, I played this sermon start to finish twice to absorb the applications to my own life, and to my own "lack" of a home church right now, for many of the reasons mentioned in this sermon. From 11 months ago, but 100% relevant RIGHT NOW.

Yeah in the 60s and 70s we began to dilute the church and skip prayer in the home and we started to except lewd behavior and even laugh at it. And in the 80s we started to participate in it ourselves, including abortion.The church definitely dropped the ball. This was good, Praise God!

It truly does require a transformation that WE willingly accept & choose in order to begin the entire process from within...when it is the real deal and we are all in 100%, God honors our life and it becomes very fruitful season after season to glorify Him. We must also remember that pruning (as in nature) makes us healthy and strong. Pruning always builds up & strengthens our faith. We can start out like Angus Buchan, a non-believer at first, but once Angus gave His life to The LORD it was completely transformational not just for him but for everyone who he would come in contact with...Angus is a true Israelite, a true Evangelist of God's Word...a true representative of His living Gospel.

I have heard it said that Paul said that he was not talking about being around the adulterers, drunks,swindlers etc of the world, for then you would have to leave the world; “ today you would have to leave the church!” This lesson is beautiful❣️We need to be challenged continuously lest we weaken in our choices. The Lord is purging the church and exposing the motives of our hearts. Dick Brogden said that the grace of God saves us from the wrath of God for the glory of God. The Passover , which is symbolized by the Lord’s Supper, should remind us that God was angry enough to kill us all! But He gave us grace through the substitutional death of His Son’s perfect life in order not to kill us all.

We have been very cautious on we call false prophets and call false preachers if there are many and we have called out most of them. You call us a false prophet or false teacher that is your problem but know that our Lord sent us and we are on the hunt at all times.
