Construction of Racing Shells - Empacher

I thought there'd be more automation during the construction process. Nice, as well as suprising, to see how much old fashioned craftsmanship is still done. I believe Empacher uses a "wet layup" technique rather than an pre-pregnated system. Having said all that, most boats are built in very similar ways.

Many, many moons ago rowing in Heidelberg as a youth rowing in an Empacher four named "Freddy" . I also was visiting the shop when delivering hulls for repairs or touch ups. SWEET memories❤❤❤
