I think he is as quick as those guys, it's just his running action that makes it look as if he slower. I remember hoping for a try from Willie Le Roux, then Barrett got to him and made a very good try saving tackle.

I reckon he's up there with the quickest. He's done 38kph which is a shade faster than Carlin Isles and Perry Baker do on most occasions. In the WC the only times he's been in a clear footrace injury-free was Vs Fiji in 2015 and at the start against Argentina in 2019.

@@zacharystone8817 Jonny did indeed clock 10.59m/s which is 38.124km/h. This was against the Barbarians in 2018. Carlin Isles and Perry Baker regularly clock 37km/h during sevens games. Isles has gone over 41 but that was not in a match. Don't conflate speed with 100m times. Most athletics training does not actually improve sprint speed - the guys with better times often rank highly because they get to their top end quicker (acceleration and pickup) and maintain it for longer (strength). You can easily see on the World Rugby speedtracker that the Americans are doing exactly this which in turn translates to a better 100m time.
