I have been following you for quite some time and what I have realized is there are fly tiers and then there is you! I b have watched everyone of your videos and your techniques and the precise and cleanliness that you put I to your fly's are unbelievable. Your techniques have taught me a lot about my designs and I couldn't thank you more. Love your channel and that's why I subscribed. Like everyone else, missed your sessions but business is business and you have to provide for your family. Tha KS Coastfly for sharing your time and above all.....your knowledge. Take care and much respect to you!

Mike....like you I am Austrian and have been tying for over 25 years. In my waters I go for smallmouth and crappie. I do tie salt water fly's for some clients down in Florida and Key West. My Grandfather was one of the few dentist in Salzburg during WW2 and he was an avid hunter and fly fisherman. To this day some of the best trout fishing I have experienced was in Austria and Itally. Is Austria I had to get permission from some of the farmers to fish their small streams and could not believe how big the trout were in those small waters. I wouldn't even call them a stream they were so small. Anyway, your back ground and origin reminds me of my heritage. Thanks for listening.

Hello, Mike! Congratulations on your new business! Great watch design! Thank you for the video! The fly is great, but I would give it more life by not smearing it with glue. This makes the material immobile (well, that's just my opinion). By the way, could you tell in one of the videos about how you catch sea trout: - how to choose a place depending on the temperature of the water and soil, - what kind of wind will accompany good fishing (wind direction away from the shore or towards the shore) - show streamer wiring - what to do if the trout does not take the fly, but only touches it? I think that it will be interesting not only to me, because everyone has their own thoughts about what I said above.

Another tip for handling epoxy and glues, nitrile gloves are cheap and effective. I try to always keep a box in the house, good for handling chemicals and cleaners as well, or even messy food prep.

Amen to that. I have a pack for when I build my watches actually. Dunno why I haven’t thought about using them for this. 😅

Fandeme godt at se noget fra din hånd igen Morten 👍🏻. Kan se dit casioak er på armen i dagens anledning💪🏻. Jeg tjekker dine ure ud, satser på de ikke er samme klasse som dit sorte Sub 😜. P.S kan ikke se link til nævnte video!.
@Coastfly Жыл бұрын
Orv. 😉

That's a great bit of art on the wall behind you(and I don't mean the whale). Is that something available from an artist, or is it AI?
@Coastfly Жыл бұрын
Sharp eye! That is a piece of art from ricardo rodrigues aka “waveloop”. Before AI even was a thing. The wale is from one of my favorite Danish artists called sielart and is a piece of an entire underwater series. I actually have the number 1 of 30 Prints in the entire series. Handsigned by siel himself. That got nerdy pretty Quick eh? 😅
@ChiefToad Жыл бұрын
@@Coastfly Thank you for the information, on both pieces.

Why no weight?
@Coastfly4 ай бұрын
@@JackAbato-gg9xu I fish with an intermediate line and get the fly down in the water like that. No wait allows for bigger pauses in the intakes as well.
