Looks like a boss 9 engine. For all those people on here saying there is nothing about it that is a ford, the same goes for Gm and chysler. All the engines you see today whether it be ford Gm or chysler are highly updated versions of the old engines. Much better blocks and updated technology.

Mann The Maverick has a blown alcohol engine in it not Top Fuel, and Scott has not been on Dragweek with this car or any other car that I know of. If I remember right Scott said it's a 526", I'll have to ask him to be sure.

Well aft seeing this I really dont see any reason to change bodies anymore Because like Funny Car Is & Has been forever, the body says whatever But the engine is A Blown Hemi..Infact if you dont have Hemi w/ur Blower Car Now, Ull Be Left At Back Of Pack IF You Even Get Into The Show! So may say Ford & I really like Mavericks But in reality now if a blown cars fast like that, you better believe thers gona be Blown Hemi sitting there aswell, just laying out some facts abt How It Is Now..Once the big money gets involved, all over for little guy, Like NHRA did to monopolize drag racing & Get Rid Of IHRA, they stole Pro Mod & TF Bike, Then writing was on Wall for IHRA, Money IS the problem in drag racing & getting into those real classes now BUT with that said, Drag racing has NEVER BEEN BIGGER THEN RITE NOW!! Nothing stays in United States so enjoy now Bc it never lasts & soon some government agencies will do something, Maybe refuse let race fuel into country or who knows But thers NO TRACKS AT ALL ON LONG ISLAND NY Now & the 2nd NHRA track opened here, But eventually like all other tracks here, Government shut-it-down forever & Refuse let another happen & government made Tools here SO Much Money, to just get into NJ where now you have go South Jersey bc the premier track in World they closed "Englishtown!", you have drive another 2 1/2hrs south, Ofcourse aft you pay All The Tolls get into NJ which is usually couple hundred bucks now, add fuel & race time, and here in the democratic north region YOU ARE JUST SCREWED!!
