Y'all bring back memories for me picking and hull'n purple hull peas! My mom, her best friend and anywhere from 6 to 15 kids get'n after it! 2-3 pickings is average & then they're done. We didn't get a 3rd because the extreme heat we've been in made the blooms drop off.

It's funny that as a teen when you are suppose to learn few take the opportunity to "intern" and as you hit the late 20's you wish you had learn "great gran" method because failing when it is your money on the line sucks. To any young people unless you plan on renting your entire life jump at the chance to learn the trades connected to home maintenance as adding breaker boxes will cost alot every time you can't find family to do it.
