Gabe, the giant spike tree is also commonly referred to as a "tooth ache" tree. Chewing on the bark, leaves or meat of the tree will numb the mouth or give a tingling sensation. See Southern Prickly Ash for more info & we have them in Florida as well.

Was just there 2 weeks ago, seemed super dangerous outside the tourist areas. It's a shame because its such a beautiful country, but some of the locals were too aggressive with asking for donations or pushing their services. Had one incident where a local refused to go away after we turned him down for donations. He just kept pressing and harassing us at the beach. It was to the point where a younger local and a french girl (both our age) came over and hinted to us that there are no cops in the area and we should get away from the guy. I suspect a lot of people are hurting over there since tourism tanked due to covid. Doesn't help bring tourists back to your country when you get shaken down by everyone for simply existing in their country. That being said we visited this beach shack for dinner one night and had some of the best fried chicken i've ever eaten in my life. Jamaicans can fuckin cook.

America media feels that all Caribbean/tropical islands should be like Disney World and that they should never have crimes. I’m from the US Virgin Islands 🇻🇮 and they say that we have the highest crime rate per capita. This truth is, all places on this earth has it’s dark sides but for the most part, majority of the people are not about that criminal lifestyle. People should get to know a place and it’s people before they let others cloud their minds with misconceptions. I thank Bluegabe,Kelly and DMFD for helping to bridge the many gaps between our cultures,lifestyles and the hospitality of their people.

I love this sir, I'm from Guyana and it's good to see my fellow Caribbean people hard at work. Brings back some good memories we do this a lot with shrimp as well it's more easier to clean them, Imagine if you asked them to clean crab they would grab a hard brush and start scrubbing, also if you're still there try to grab some squib. also I don't know if they told you but when we cook outside like that in the bush we call that bush cook.

I have to confess that I watch Kellys videos first, but the way you guys collaborate and intertwine your videos, I definitely end up checking out Gabes videos too. And it is SO cool to see the connection of the adventure you're on. Its like a continuation of Kelly's fine videos. That spot on the river (white river) near cascade St. Ann where you caught the crawfish is where we do our psychedelic mushroom tour we actually have the bonfire part there. I go fishing all the time and never thought to look for crawfish there.. nice guys.
