The main threat would be high-speed turns if the center of mass is higher. Otherwise, so long that it's not so heavy it compromises the structure itself, and can still be lifted by the chain, it doesn't change much.
@AaronShenghao2 жыл бұрын
Actually, it won’t be a problem as long as the train don’t flip over on high speed turns due to center of gravity not so height. I heard there are roller coasters having trouble cleaning hills when empty, but totally fine when loaded.
@Duke_of_Lorraine2 жыл бұрын
@@AaronShenghao indeed, empty wagons would be more affected by air drag with the same frontal surface area (so the same energy loss at a given speed) but less mass, so less energy to dissipate.

This is not El Toro. El Toro makes a right turn after the initial air time hills. El Toro doesn't have a second lift hill. This model doesn't have the rolling thunder hills that cross over eachother. It's just a wooden coaster.

Adding to what Hyperion said, the description says that the coaster is based on El Toro, but as you have pointed out, it isn't an exact replica. My brain still went, "Hey! El Toro!" when I saw it, though. I'm sure there are plenty of wooden coasters that look similar to this build, or even to El Toro, but El Toro was the first to come to mind when I saw the video.

The reason it seems so fast from the minifig perspective is probably that gravity accelerates things by the same rate regardless of size. But since the perspective is smaller, that same acceleration seems much faster.

The most interesting thing is how different physics work at this scale already. In our scale, these speeds would likely shake you as much as a car accident. Being smaller means much faster relative acceleration/speed. Interesting find.
