The problem here is that the thrust / weight ratio here is too high, the mass is too low and as result the behaviour of the model is quite far from a real aircraft. On a contrary, the animators tend to do mistakes so the rendered model is flying in the same "unrealistic" manner. But CGI allows to do a lot of iterations way cheaper compare to the actual filming.

@@davidgriffiths4844 I only wish that one day we will see an airliner like this do an actual scale take off and landing. The Hawks were also just a distraction and didnt add but rather took away from the beauty of this model. If only we could see a 'stabilized approach' as per the real aircraft.
@David-ci1vn3 жыл бұрын
@@Relfy75 The take off was rushed, the rotation through the elevons was much gentler, the turn should have been later, and the landing approach was well, unstable and completely the wrong angle of attack, is that because of unavoidable differences in lift characterisctics perhaps. Apart from that though is the droop snoot, it's a pity that at this scale the visor wasn't made to retract which would have enabled a better angle and the nose would never have been raised during take off, absurd.

Not sure if some people don't realize it, but this was hand-built. There is no "kit." Effin amazing.

Great video. Congrats to the builder. I say, keep it small, simple, Easy. Less heartbreaking and expensive that way.

The pilot wears the same boots every time he flies the concord, maybe it’s a lucky charm

Very nice model. Looks amazing. I'd like to see one day somebody taxiing and taking off this airplanes in a more realistic manner. All of them taxi like race cars and take off like fighter jets which in my opinion, takes all the magic away.
@yammmit5 жыл бұрын
CARLOS PENA Because it only weighs a couple hundred pounds and doesn’t need thousands of feet of runway to take off. Real planes would do that if they could.

Absolutely agree. Gorgeous flying model but flown like an ugly stick. Would love to see a nice slow rotation and scale climb out instead of the usual yank it off the ground and straight into a right turn. Same with the landing...military finals and no established scale glide into a controlled flare...instead a lufting bobble descent before slamming onto the deck with 10 metres of runway left and go around with another similar landing with the usual abs brake test to full stop in the middle of the strip. The descending turn through the clouds did however look amazing.

@@Relfy75 The problem is while the plane is scaled down, the engines are scaled down the worlds physics are not. A model will never react the same way as a full size plane would, Gravity, air and wind acting on it are full scale versions (one reason models are shot high speed and slowed down for film)

Amazing! You could almost ride it. I am blessed to be able to say I DID ride the real thing a number of times across the Atlantic between LHR & NY and that was truly amazing. Would have been nice to see BA livery on one side with AF on the other, just my opinion.

Amazing... Am I the only one whose heart stopped when he did that touch and go? I was sure he had stalled it just after it became airborne again. As for upgrades, I have only one word - afterburners!!! How cool would that be...
