Ever seen the movie Razorback from 1984? It has quite a few transitions using an edge of an object like that. It's often regarded as a well produced movie (especially cinematography), if a bit weak on plot however. Worth checking out.

Watching and listening to Peter, plus all the other guys is addictive. Everyone is having so much fun in building wild fun RC planes. I was always into RC warships, but never tried the planes. I wish your event was near Florida as I would love to come out and watch. I loved the camper that Peter built or rebuilt. Watch that video if you have not. PJ

That plane actually scales pretty well and could work full-scale. At altitude on long flights 1 or 2 pairs of wings could fold for efficiency. The short wingspan could help on crosswind landings. The elevator could easily be computer-controlled to maintain attitude whether the CG is good or a little unbalanced.

I'm actually curious how does having so much people controlling their models doesnt cause that much of interference
@AirJimInCT
@AirJimInCT Жыл бұрын
2.4 GHz has so many channels that interference is very rare. 72 mhz was what came before 2.4 and it had a limited number of channels associated with it. That system had the chance to get interference from literally any radio signal. 2.4 is the same as WiFi as well so it’s very reliable.

That plane reminded me of a train too! I’d love to see if you guys could build an articulated steam train with passenger cars and a maybe a caboose, with wings on each section, props attached to the locomotive, and the tail surfaces on the last car / caboose. Bonus points if smoke comes out of the smokestack. This could be a great Christmas project if you were to model it off of the Polar Express. ^^

just wondering.. are there any rules/limitations on the rc planes that visitors can fly? as in, are only electric propellers allowed, or are combustion engines and jets fair game? and in the combat event, a plane using the ram strategy could have a steel tipped and reinforced nose for penetration and durability? very curious about any would-be ruleset
