ACTUAL artist here (almost two years, multi genre) The fact that someone had the cheek and audacity to pay $5.2 million is sickening to me and it’s insulting to me as an actual artist who put actual time and effort into every single painting sketch picture and drawing that I do only to be out beaten by stuff like this that’s not even worthy of having the word art anywhere near it anyone who calls this art including the owner who purchased it for that amount of money I have absolutely zero respect for. I’m also disgusted how quickly it went from 800,000 which is a big number by itself to 1,000,000 eight seconds to see it go from 800,000 to 1,000,000 and that is the worst thing I’ve ever seen. Please forgive me if I’m sounding harsh or rude and I mean no disrespect to the artist himself and I understand he is known as a prankster and a man who likes to joke around cross my heart I get that completely but I just needed to say this as someone who’s been in the art industry for a long time and has come from the ground with nothing and is now making a decent profit small digit figures at most but it’s still a sign that I’m actually caring about what I do as an artist.
