Welcome to the Worlds Playbook. Today we’re having a look at how FNC defeated RNG on the last day of the Group Stage to make it to the quarterfinals and eliminate the Chinese titans. Fnatic used synchronized recalls and superior map setups to increase their lead as they took objectives without any chance of a contest from their opponents.

@@JanAlleman1 That's the problem with Plat, you might have challanger knowledge about game but with low mechanics you aren't able to climb higher. Plat is elo, where people with average mechanics/low knowledge meet with people with low mechanics/high knowledge

Tbh i am hardstuck gold (4-2) and recently I have been playing against plat opponents as I was duoing with a plat friend of mine. It didn't feel very different ( both from a mechanics and gold/objectives manipulation stand point) from a game with 6 golds and 4 silvers for example. Then again it might be bcs EUNE is the butthole of League servers. I mean the 1st person to get killed or God forbid lose lane starts flaming and inting. Playing from behind is an unkown concept bcs after all they are all K/D/A players.

Pro team usually have a shotcaller. He is the one who makes the makro play decigions. The rest of the team just needs to follow his calls. I imagine it to be like :"everyone recall, we're doing a 1 3 1 and transition into a 4 1 0 to get top turret." They probably all know the strategies and everyone knows what their individual job is when a certain call comes.

This is why LPL isn't that good and why EU has gotten so much better. LPL wins by outplaying and just overplaying their enemies. EU has gotten a lot smarter and is able to punish bad macro teams. This teamwork makes them so much stronger.

Yes teams definitely do think like this...for instance watching FNC mic check rekkles called out uzi has no mana and we can fight, nemesis said he will lose a full wave but he is tping immediately botlane etc. Most teams think ahead of time usually besides NA.

Some of it is pre-planed while other situations just festd organically throughout. This case seems pre planned since third team comp is best utilised when everyone is on the same page.

Yeah i have watched 4 worlds and all of the main regions and honestly very rarely you see this kind of clean win between big teams. It wasnt about big teamfights or anything, RNG were just outplayed on the whole map. Felt like they never got to play the game

With that 1st synchro recall say if RNG noticed and reacted in time to get more vision/ take drake with the back timing. So wouldn't the synchro recall be risky?

True but teams play around vission more than you notice. They had no idea they all recalled. And it is too risky to start a drake cuz they were behind. There was a huge chance fnc players were still there and so they loose the game right there. Also they pushed out lanes and uzi was in base. So there was no realistic way to attack the drake from rngs side.

You dont recall, if ur lanes are in a bad position. So when fnc recalled, RNG had to push out their lanes before they even could do anything.
