Ya, Cobras are great quality "Truck-Stop" radios to get highway info or talk to loading dock customers for sure. As a trucker i always stuck with export radios for a bit more Punch!👊 Great video Rooster!😎👍

My buddies and I used to use stock 29's to talk local around town. We would do scavenger hunts tacking one of us in town. One person would find a spot to sit and transmit every five minutes for 30 seconds. and the rest of us had to find him. It was pretty fun. The 29 is still one of my favorite radios for AM. great video Rooster.

We called them Fox Hunts ~ tracking down someone on another radio who was broadcasting from a hidden spot..... Used to drive all over Fort Worth chasing them down, along with a bunch of others... Hellofa good way to burn gas ($.12gal) with your Buddy's back in 68-69.... Yessir, Good Times On A Saturday Night....

@@44Dan Yeah Fox hunts that's the term. Yes they were fun times. To expensive now to drive all over the place. Though I do drive all over the place looking for hot spots to talk DX.

@@jgmopar I hear ya.... I'm blessed with flat valleys and mountain ranges not too far in the distance... Like you I like to get out and look for a better DX Spot than where I was last time... Retired Trucker here that still Loves to just get in and go...... Good Luck 👍

Love the meter comparison. Helps alot to show the differences especially when running power.

@@Mahoney5150 it's a stock radio lol. Your average radio operator doesn't care about what something looks like on a scope or spectrum analyzer but are more concerned about what it sounds like on the air. That's not to say, run a hacked up, splattery radio. But for for most, they want loud, clear, punchy radios, not 100% modulated scope show dogs
