This is the disease of the West and I live in the US. I grew up with very strict parents and the disease I refer to is too much freedom given to kids. There is no democracy in the household until the child earns it (I wish I thought of this) by being selfless and trustworthy. She has never faced with people with disabilities as they are integrated into the system (US) starting with elementary school (3yrs old) that have the special needs programs.

Love my Sri Lankan people. Everyone of them. 💗 My uncle Kingsley DE Silva was in charge of the Cheshire home in Negombo, I spent an entire day there with my sister doing activities, I remember the girl who loved balloons, every one there is so special, and the staff is amazing. 💗

I won't judge her. I freak out when I encounter mentally challenged people or people in any sort of misery in general. No matter how good and innocent they are. But after I get to know them properly, when I feel safe around them I compromise and go the extra mile to help them with my time money, and effort. I think what I have is some sort of personality disorder. Lacking empathy at first. But I compromise even though I am freaking out in my mind. We Sri Lankans are destined to live with misery and help each other all the time as much as we can. Our parents raised us that way.
