He definitely had a lot of good rides but because it's only the top ,2 rides that's why JJ came out on top.. Felipe had better heat and surfed more waves tho.

kunane ebinger I know how the scores work thank you, to clarify I thought Felipe was underscored in relation to JF's waves, but I watched the heat pretty quickly I'm just wondering if that feeling is widespread. They both were ripping, I'll say that, in really hard to surf waves.

HE FINISHED the wave, then he fell. if he didnt finish he wouldnt stand on his feet at the end of the snap. He did stand, but fell SHORT after it. At least thats what the judges said.

The same way judges score his rotations high they score JJF's layback just as high because no one can do what they both can. Just use your logic instead of passion.
