Ma is simply better in every strokes: topspin, block, chopblock, serve, return, forehand and backhand. His record against Fan Zhendong is now 14 won and 2 lost (never in grand finals or wttc). His ability and winning ratio is not comparable with any other players in modern history (no Waldner, no Wang Liqin, no Liu Gouliang). Ma long is simply the best player ever born.

@@financialliberty2381 he is not peaking. he is past his prime which was from 2010- 2012. opponents were much tougher back then and smarter as well. ever wondered why he could never beat wang hao at wttc events, especially 2011 when ma long was unbeatable. just watch his matches from 2008 to 2012 and you will see the real ma long. just because he has won 3 wttc in a row doesn't mean he is getting better.

We all remember, After the victory of 2015 wttc in shuzhou, ML won all the tournaments he attended till 2016 Olympic, with the 2016 Korean open being the only exception, where he narrowly lost to xu xin in the final.
