I actually like this new camera angle! Rallies, speed and intensity is way more enjoyable from this perspective! I do understand though that the diagonal view might be more convenient as a player if you want to have a deeper understanding of the game or have visibility to tricks and spin effect.. But for those who discovered tennis table not so long ago like me it’s much more enjoyable with this view 😅

Perhaps WTT can stick to a format of live side view (I suppose it's for advertisers) but replay with diagonal angle? There are multiple cameras inside the arena and they should make good use of them.

When the referee warned Peng to play faster, it was long overdue. He was really annoying asking Felix to wait almost before each serve. Dirty tactic to break Felix's rhythm, which worked. He started doing it from the start of the 2nd set. Great win for Felix, let's see if it will be a Lebrun brothers showdown in the next round.

It's not dirty. Felix and alexis simply go at it too fast, they want to break the other player's rhythm through that and rush them.

Lebruns are notorious tricksters.

In contrast, Lebrun brothers are well known of serving without waiting for opponents to be ready. You can check out the match between Alexis Lebrun and Freitas.

@@ditml6796 you mean the match where freitas walked over to the table, began crouching into ready position as alexis looked at him, then straightened back up to wipe his hand on the table again as alexis served? Lebruns serve fast but delaying their serves to break rhythm and try to frustrate them was like day 1 tactic, and it's getting tired by now.

both French brothers are very rude! most plays will wait the other side to get ready, they just serve very fast without looking!

In this match Peng was at the table and should have been ready to receive but he constantly raised his hand wanting extra time.

Rush them, don't give them time to think. It's a great tactic, lots of others players try and take longer to put different mental pressure on the other player. It's all the same gamesmanship, I don't think they cross the line to being unsportsmanlike at all. But they get as close to the line as they can 😂

​@@GeoGeo451Yes, it's not one player's fault, rather it's a match within the match. For spectators I think fast is the way to go, gives more table tennis and less waiting.

its the receivers responsibility to be ready, wen the server wants to serve. Thats how its stated in the rules.
