@Kentauros19916 жыл бұрын
@@GreatSageSunWukong Eh, you can do it yourself, it's really simple. You'd need 1 kg of rye bread, 250 g of sugar, and 20 g of yeast per 10 litres of water. Cut the bread, dry it up in the oven (at 180 Celsius or so, don't be afraid for it to become hard), then put it in a large pan and add boiling water. Wait for 3 hours, add the yeast, cover with... gauze? cheesecloth? Something that would allow the gases to leave and put into dark, warm place for another 6 hours so it could ferment. It should start to foam about this time, so when it starts to, filter it, pour into clean bottles and store in the fridge. You're done! Obviously, you can scale this process up or down as needed.

Fun fact about Coca Cola and the Soviet Union: one Marshal Georgy Zhukov had an affinity for Coca Cola after being introduced to it by Dwight Eisenhower. However, given that it was looked down upon by the Soviets on account of it being a symbol of American imperialism, Zhukov ended up sending a request through Allied command to try and develop a form of Coke that resembled vodka. Long story short, after finding a chemist who knew how to remove the colouring from Coke, Marshal Zhukov's wish was granted, and he could enjoy Coke to his heart's content since it was disguised as vodka. Normally we associate clear colas with the Clear Craze of the 90's thanks to Tab Clear and Crystal Pepsi, but it got its start all the way back in the 1940's thanks to Soviet opposition to American products clashing with the desires of a Red Army general. Also, in regards to corn syrup in America, I think it's due to the numbnuts agricultural industry over there subsidising corn farmers to such a degree that they have so much corn that it's coming out of their ears, and so they use it to mass-produce a cheap alternative to real sugar. Which is why if you're ever in America and you want a proper bottle of full sugar Coca-Cola, order Mexican Coke, since in Mexico they use real sugar. Which is probably better for you, ironically, since actual sucrose probably requires more energy to digest than the concentrated fructose gubbins they pump into literally everything. (even their bread tastes like cake, apparently) And considering all the shit that drinks manufacturers are loading up our drinks with in the UK, thanks to Margaret Thatcher 2.0 and her fascist sugar tax, Mexican Coke is probably more good for you than the "low sugar" stuff being shat out. It happened with Irn Bru, and is the reason why I won't drink any more Irn Bru until the sugar tax is repealed and Theresa May is left begging on the streets.

I may be an exception but I'm a Brit who developed a taste for kvas while in Russia. The thing with shop-bought kvas in bottles and cans is that it's made by diluting a base flavour syrup with carbonated water (like cola etc), which is nothing like the traditional method of making kvas by allowing dark rye bread (which may be made with malt and molasses) to ferment in water with honey, raisins etc. So what you're tasting is the drinks manufacturers condensed approximation of all the elements in there.

Kvass is one of my favourite drinks. It's been with me since my childhood. My mum would always buy me a bottle as a kid back in Poland. And of course, I still drink it now. Hell I even make my own Kvass now.

Do you have a video of the process of making it?

So... Kwas stands for acid in Polish. Gira - a derogatory word for an ugly foot, so in this case it would be an old, acidy foot. Bon apetit!

When Stuart goes to the hospital for his regular stomach pumping he is greeted thusly: "Welcome Mr Ashen, we have your suite ready, what flavour of internal detergent would you like today?"

Sugar can juice is a popular drink in Central America too. They literally just take whole sugar cane, run it through rollers (like old school laundry machine) and add water. No cooking or any other preparation.

I ought to follow your format, and review the 2 bottles of barium contrast I got to drink Monday. A true taste sensation! Followed by epic runs, the doctor tells me. Whee.

I love those coconut Ramune drinks. I get one every time I go to a convention, there's usually always a vendor who's selling them for a dollar, $4 for a 6-pack.
