Great video for new players! I purchased the Viper AIM 360 as a learning board then picked up the Razorback as my backup. I have to say I’m very pleased with the boards. Holes don’t heal as quick but they do eventually. My board still looks great after 6 months and thousands of darts. The Specs on both boards are identical but from my experience the Razorback heals much quicker. I wish this video came out a year ago as I would of purchased the Gladiator. But I have played on the Blade5 and Shot Bandit boards and just love them! But it really comes down to durability and bounce outs. I think I’ve had 3 bounce out in 6 months on the AIM 360. Nice spider! Thanks for this video! This has to help new players looking to get the most bang for the buck.

Great review. I have only ever owned a few different boards over the years. My very first one was an Accudart with round wires and staples. Then I got a Winmau Diamond wire with staples. Third one was a Bandit Board. After all of those I have been on Winmau Blades ever since. I started with a Blade 4 but then got my favorite Blade 5 with the Rota Lock! That Rota Lock feature is my absolute favorite invention ever for any dartboard. I don’t need a board yet but I may try the 180 G3

Hi WW, my last 4 or 5 boards were Winmau blades. I decided to give One80 Gladiator III a try. I've had the board for a week now, and quite honestly a little disappointed the way the board plays. It looks good, segments, colors and spider as good as I've seen on any other board. But when I started using it.....two cons, in my opinion, surfaced. First - board seems to be louder than Blade 5 was, and second - especially in the wider area of large segments - points seem to be reaching backboard and creating a really loud noise in the process. I don't throw darts particularly hard, and most of my darts are 21-22 G, so surprised how easy darts go so deep. Segments are covered with hard surface as many dartboards are, but as soon as it breaks in a little - seems board becomes soft very fast. Anyway, just wanted to share my 2 cents. Thanks for your videos.....really enjoy them.
@WorldwideDarts2 жыл бұрын
Dartboards are so inconsistent. I think this is probably the first time hearing that the One80 is too soft. Usually it's the other way around and most players find them too hard. Same thing with me testing the Blade 6 boards. It felt like I was throwing at a pillow. They were that soft. In the end I think it boils down to "luck of the draw". You either get a good board or you don't, regardless of the brand.

I’ve been throwing on the Shot Bandit Duro for the past couple of years. It’s a nice firm board and it’s holding up well, although the red segments are so light that they’re almost pink which I’m not crazy about. I also have a One180 Gladiator 2 in my office at work that I like alot.

I've heard that about the Shot boards. Here's a little known fact... During the American streams from the CDC they have to color correct the board to make it seem more red instead of the pinkish color that it is.

Just got a Blade 6 ( NOT THE TRIPLE CORE) last week. I don't throw hard but definitely don't throw soft and I have darts falling out all the time. To me this board is hard and reminds me up Alien boards. I have fall outs and bounce outs with that board all the time. I have to scratch the points on my darts to get them to stick in the board.
@WorldwideDarts2 жыл бұрын
I had the same experience. My darts didn't fall out but I always felt like they were barely hanging on. I found that odd because my darts usually hit the board with a bit of force. The sisal on the two Blade 6 boards I had were packed so loosely that they didn't hold the point very well at all.

Very helpful video, as usual. In the market for a new board as we speak and now I have plenty to consider. I know you shop around for deals and specials and such but do those companies favor 1 product deal over others? I mean like if Darts Corner generally has better deals on flights and stems, while company B usually has better pricing on boards. Just a thought. Keep up the good work sir. And thank you again for keeping the sport of darts affordable.
@WorldwideDarts2 жыл бұрын
When it comes to darts the pricing system in general is all messed up. Here in the United States they operate (allegedly) using the illegal price fixing system. All the American shops agree to sell their products at the same prices so they don't undercut one another. That's classic price fixing. For the most part the overseas shops have similar pricing on most items. Dartshopper has extremely jacked their prices up on some items though. Target for example. I would never buy Target products from Dartshopper as they have them priced about 30% higher than Double Tops for example. Here's a visual example... Nathan Aspinall darts at Double Tops, $75usd... www.doubletopdartshop.com/collections/target-darts-2022/products/nathan-aspinall-90-tungsten-black-sp-steel-tip-darts-by-target Same exact darts at Dartshopper, $100usd... www.dartshopper.com/target-nathan-aspinall-black-sp-90.html

Recently using Blade 6 and Aspar. Blade 6 is just way too soft, points penetrate soo deep. Manufacturing quality is poor in comparison. Every time I pick my darts up, I need to pay extra attention not to scratch my hands. Nothing to talk about Rota-lock, it is just the best thing ever. Aspar has great manufacturing quality. Web is almost perfect and seems way more durable. Sisal surface and web edge is soo close together, which is I like most about it.

I started playing darts again just over a year ago and in that time I have gone through all the variations of the blade 6.... They're all poor. I've had the dual core for 5 months and to be honest it isn't much better than the other two, got to say I've been really disappointed with all of them. And you're right about the spider, they've all looked terrible after a few months use. And it's not like I'm using Simon Whitlock points either lol! I was hearing of the spiders working out of the ONE80 boards. Is that actually an issue? I'm still playing a Nodor Sportcraft with the "new" stapleless bull, which was the standard back in the day, and a Accudart Winmau with stapled bull. Both are amazingly intact after all these years, if looking a bit shabby. The round wires and staples do produce lots of bounces, but both boards hold a dart well otherwise, which has me wondering how these new boards could wear out so fast.
@WorldwideDarts Жыл бұрын
Any time I see stories of the spider working its way loose it's usually caused by a severe lack of rotation or no rotation at all. If you rotate ANY board often it should never be an issue. Remember, there are players out there that have no idea how to care for a board so you're going to hear different stories. @@WorldwideDarts Well, I think the points play the biggest role. In the Test I mentioned all boards were hung up in a Darts Club, so allkinds of aggressive points were thrown at them. Some boards handle it better some dont. Most famous example is probably the unicorn eclipse. I heard it handles smooth points very well but obviously not aggressive ones. With a new board make sure you rotate it a lot to start with. A good rule of thumb is you want all the segments to look the same for the entire life of the board. If one segment looks worse than another... you aren't rotating enough. You ever notice that in all of my videos my boards look great? That's what happens when you properly rotate it. How's your luck been with the One80 spider? We use them as our comp board at the club (seeing as we have to use the absolutely terrible Samurai 2 as a Superleague board so can't use them for that anymore). One thing we've found is the spiders seem to lift really badly either around the original 8/16 segment or the 10/15 and sink really badly the other side...
@WorldwideDarts2 жыл бұрын
Here's my theory on the One80 spider. The sisal is so tightly packed that it can sometimes push the spider out in certain spaces. To prevent this the board needs to be rotated more than other boards. It's hard to explain but imagine this... you're throwing at the 20 segment for a few weeks. While we throw at that area of the board the fibers become a bit more loose as the board gets used. Meanwhile other areas of the board remain tightly packed. So if someone doesn't rotate the board the 20 segment spider can start to lift because of the pressure from other areas of the board. I excessively rotated my One80's and have completely avoided that issue but I have definitely seen others have the same issue as your describing
@garypavey15282 жыл бұрын
@@WorldwideDarts good to know that. I've always been a massive fan of the playing surface, but not committed to having one as a practice board because of that issue. Got a Blade 6 TC at the moment which is holding up well, but I don't think justifies the £80 purchase price...

@WorldwideDarts2 жыл бұрын
The Blade 4 was a great board. My only complaint would be that the segments are tiny compared to boards of today. If I remember correctly the Blade 4 segments were in the 8.7mm to 9mm range. So up to a full millimeter smaller compared to the new Blade 6 board where some segments were 10mm even. If you were to play online darts at home and you're using a Blade 4 vs someone that playing on a Blade 6 you would have a serious disadvantage. Otherwise it's a GREAT board.

Watched this geezer for a minute and liked him from the off . Top info aswell just getting a bit anxious about that dartboard falling on his canister . Canister = Head to our colonial friends . Trumpy is going down😢
