Nice review. I hope Soots wins today. I have a set of these darts myself but mine are equipped with fixed black #3 Cosmo stems and super kite flights. I used other flight types and kept getting them to land tail up in the board. Now they go in flat for me.

I dig everything about these except the nose. Never been a fan of the flat round nose like that. I get way too many bounce outs, especially off other darts with firmer flights. Again though, agree with the small touches. Another big one for me is the point holder having the holes at a bit of an angle so you can store your darts fully assembled without flights scrunching up.

He had used Steve Beatons since he was a teenager - Dan Dawson interviewed him on the Good Darts podcast and he said they were giving them away as gifts at the British Teenager tournament and he has used various Beatons since.

Hope you had a great Christmas and enjoy the New Years celebrations. Just a little feed back for you, I received my first Gladiator 3 board for Christmas, wow! What a great board, looks beautiful and is playing great, not had a single bounce out from the bull yet, I couldn’t of said that about either of my last 2 Winmau boards, also got some one80 jet stream hornets 21 gram, amazin so far, look and feel beautiful, thanks for all your advice over the years about one80 products, I’ve grown to be a massive fan, this new Gladiator 3 and the hornets are just more reasons to keep going back to one80 in the future, cheers pal 👍🎯

soots is a personal friend, he did indeed play with Steve Beaton darts and the mission darts are 100% based on the Beaton. The flight also holds an easter egg, where the white stripe of the flag starts exactly at his (and my) hometown of Arbroath.

Great review, again! I was wondering if these would fit well with the Mission Sniper points considering this nose coin.. after watching this I own a set of Soutar myself but I am not sure is it would be nice to replace the points. Maybe you can help me out! Keep up the good job, cheers!

I have some Steve Beaton darts from years back. I can see the similarities and the micro grip on the Steve Beaton darts I have isn't that grippy. I gave a set away to a lad wanting to start throwing darts in a local pub but I have a set left. The match tonight: I don't think Soots minds being the underdog, that 160 out to win his last match showed a lot. I think it will be close and a good match. I like both players as well. My opinion is it's too close to call. Looking for the little things that might give one or the other the edge. When it comes to squeaky bum time I think Soutar has a steel about him and I think it will be squeaky bum time. We'll have to see how the match pans out now.

@@WorldwideDarts I only saw the highlights and it doesn't tell the full story but I said he had steel. His interview is interesting, he talks about liking the fight, pulling people into a fight... I think he did that and at the end Danny knew he was beat. Ryan Searle was another one, I'm thinking, no not again. He needs to listen to more Motorhead. 'The only way I'm easy is when I'm, Killed by Death.

Yes, Alan was using Beaton darts. His darts is something inbetween the old Red Dragon Robert Thornton and the Jocky Wilson Datadart. I love these things, thanks for review.

I’m always intrigued by micro grip. It can either be very grippy or very smooth it seems like

These almost feel like the One80 micro multi rings. A nice smooth feel to them. But yeah, some feel like razor blades and others are smooth

I dislike micro grip, I have callus on my fingers and therefore need a lot of grip. I feel like they get slippery / lose their bite quite fast. What kind of grip would you recommend? Razor edge? Right now I'm using a ring-grip where there's a lot of space inbetween the rings.

Razor grip might be worth a try. Some are insanely grippy and others not too bad. Maybe check out the line of Designa razor grip darts to start with

Great darts, good review. I disagree on the 51 finish as not all of us enjoy hitting D20 for the finish. But to each their own and as long you enjoy the game, that's all that matters. Have a great day.

There's nothing to disagree with though. You don't go that way under pressure because of the bust potential. Nobody is forcing you to play correctly.

I really hope Soutar wins, Noppert is just such a boring character. He's like a bland soup. Don't get me wrong, he's an exceptional player! But he just doesn't seem like someone you'd want in the premier league.
