Cheers PC. Yeah, a nice chunk of sisal came out around 13:18. The points are no joke. Someone is going to be happy though. If I won them I'd sell them and buy a couple really nice sets I wanted👍🏻

Great review on a totally awesome set of darts. Even with the price being so high they still do have a lip on the front. If I ever got a set of these I would probably put on a Mission Sniper Point to eliminate the lip and save my dartboard from aggressive points.

Can you do a How to on the finish 118? I feel like T20 S18 D20 is the worst route to go for. A good alternative is to start on 18s, a single will leave you with 100 left, a triple will leave you with 64 - both great numbers to continue from. My favorite is probably to go for 17s - 118 is the last finish where you have a bullseye finish with your third dart after a single and a triple from the same number (such as 20 in 130, 19 in 126 and 18 in 122) - the Good thing with 17s is you‘re left with D8 if you hit two trebles - that‘s so much better than D5, D6, and D7 as in the other finishes

T18 is terrible. Stop doing that. Would you rather hit a T20 and be left with 58 which is a simple 2 dart finish or hit a T18 and be left with 64? From there you're forced to go 14, bull. Try to keep the game simple and easy.

Yeah I guess the two dart finish with 58 is the best argument here. I just really dislike the 98 rest if I hit the single 20 at the start. Thanks for the comment tho

@@dsfnaj3357 The biggest issue is leaving 118 in the first place. With good board management it shouldn't happen. It's a terrible checkout. If we're talking about hitting a single with the first dart then of course a S18 is better but at the same time hitting a T18 just means you need to go the bull route from 64.

Any advice on barrel choice for someone with calloused fingers that can’t feel the finely machined textures to get consistent repeatable grip without looking down at the dart? I am a mid-gripper, thumb and first two fingers only. Anything else and it flies wobbly. I can feel The Robin 2’s texture a bit, and that big ledge, they actually work very well to get a consistent grip but apparently they’re too grippy, as they fly all cork-screw, fishtail like, sticking to my fingers I suppose. You reckon something like a Simon Whitlock barrel would work? The ones with the little skinny neck halfway down. The barrel? They don’t look terribly grippy but I can land my thumb in that groove every time. Ordering all the different barrel shapes to try is getting expensive and the CuZn ones look like all the stuff I’ve already tried.

Best thing you could probably do is keep things simple. I say this knowing that everyone is different but the vast majority of players use a straight barrel multi ring barrel for a reason... it works well. Go with a 21-23g barrel that's in the 50mm range by 6.3mm. That's a fairly normal barrel. Then spend time getting used to it.

I reckon I’ll give it a try. Got a set of those red dragon raider versions of the navigator 3 from Amazon you talked about once before ordered and on the way. I’m just not sure I’m gonna be able to find my spot on the grip the same way every time. Without taking my eye off the board. But I’ll give them a shot. Maybe I’ll have to touch the front end of the barrel with my pinkie or something to find my spot and then withdraw the pinkie. We’ll see how it goes. Thanks!

My hands are rough as well. It's strange... common sense would tell us to use a grippy dart right? Problem is, I find that they stick to my rough fingers and it's hard to stay consistent with them so that's why I use a darts that isn't grippy. A very narrow multi ring dart seems to work really well for rough hands
