24 hours in TAXCO 🇲🇽 the SILVER capital of Mexico aka the prettiest town ever 🥹 (I made my own ring)

Y'all.. Taxco was even better than I had expected. The white Spanish colonial architecture and cobblestone streets stole my heart away 💗 not to mention THE SILVER!! If you're a silver jewelry gurli you better go here right now
I'm going to be honest - this video cannot serve as a guide to Taxco. I wish I had not taken a guided tour and just hopped on a bus earlier to explore Taxco myself. It would've been much better if I had my own time to stroll around, possibly get on a cable car ride, and shop at the local silver markets. BUT, I'm glad I got to at least experience something that I was SO excited for - making my own ring! It was so much fun and I had the most patient instructor (bless his heart cause I had no idea what I was doing). Now I feel extra special whenever I wear the ring 💍 and it'll be with me forever.

@@WorldwideWu Are you able to spot fake silver? I heard that you need to look for the "925" stamp on it, but I was wondering if there's more to it than that ... I was warned about buying fakes. Thanks!

@@BettyOuyang I’m not good at spotting fake silver 😅 but yes pretty much ALL the shops have silver that have the “925” in it. I think even shops in Taxco that sell fake silver know that ppl look for that engraving, so they will have it. But I would say all the shops I went into and browsed in looked really legit. You can ask to see a certificate if you want. For me personally the silver jewelry was never too expensive so in the rare chance that things were fake, at least the jewelry is cute so I’m still gonna wear it 🤣
