I thought about purchasing a Ridgeline but then found out the engine was an "interference engine" and decided that engine replacement could be one failed rubber timing belt away from a replacement engine! No way, for me! Plus, I had ONE Honda that was a huge pain in the butt to work on myself. And crossed Honda off the list..... Good luck!

@@midwestg4105 what non interference engines are you considering?

It's only once every 100,000 miles (approximately 8 years) you need to change it. Most say it's a 1000 dollar job with the waterpump. It's not a big deal. Saving up 1-2k over 8 years is easy. Plenty of vehicles have interference engines like this one. Keep up with maintenance and you don't have to worry. Alot of people have this mentality that vehicles are magical machines that don't require maintenance then get surprised when something breaks for some reason.

@@NoraTwo I have a timing belt and water pump video coming on the honda 3.5. It's a pretty big job but do-able for the adventurous DIY
