Honestly, this is the best looking Chronograph Automatic watch I've seen. The proportions for others look weird but this one just nails the size and those beveled edges are such a great design element. In terms of the case and the dial, I've yet to see something so clean and yet striking to look at.

Just bought this watch based on pics and reviews. My wife didn’t say “no”. Looks cool as hell to me. I love that it doesn’t have a date. 1. I don’t care what the day is. 2. It’s always a pain if you don’t wear and keep the watch wound, as I won’t wear a watch this nice for everyday stuff. 3. Bezel is crazy cool. Love the buttons and crown sticking out, and the shape and size. I’m not too crazy about the band. Probably go with a black ostrich leather on a breitling style deployment clasp. 35 year anniversary present for me. Taking the wife to Italy for 3 weeks. Thanks for the review.

I doubt that is the reason because the original j88 was much smaller at 38mm. Its not like pilots eyes have gotten worst over the years.

Amazing design but as almost all the pilot watches is too big. What the hell do they are thinking? People who wants this watches are not pilots in the 99,9% and if you are a pilot doesn´t need the watch so big neither in XXI century. I would be a potencial buyer if they would change their minds about sizes and for sure the sales of all the pilot watches will increase if they make watches for different sizes of wrist.
