The company has since moved this model to Sellita SW300 movements and the price has nearly tripled

Is it just me or does this watch have a very similar vibe to the Dan Henry 1947 that they just reviewed on here?

very nice design indeed. I have a watch with that movement and it performs quiet well.

I like the watch, let me know when they're available on grey market sites, we'll be able to pick one up for $299

It's a gorgeous aesthetic that I don't usually see but $1.3k for those materials, movement and place of manufacture?? You wonder where the money's going. A glance at comparable machines puts it at least $500 over the odds.

The money goes in the handcrafting techniques used to create their dials. You're not gonna find that at the 500 dollars pricepoint.

Love their logo (alcohol molecule) and their slogan " soulful horology" But I think it's all about the dial (the face of the watch as they described it) and not the soul (what's the ticking heart behind the dial) I hope in the future they will develop their own calibers so that we'll have beautiful time pieces with pure souls

Not even a steel bracelet for a $1350 watch? Interesting.

You do realize that most high end watches have leather bracelets right?

After reading the comment section... I can only assume this company is already gone tits up.. my god this did not get one favorable review from the peanut gallery.. relentless bunch!

Wornandwound please stop conning watch noobs by reviewing crappy over priced junk and trying to legitimise it..
@arnavramanujam96063 жыл бұрын
Well they may be overpriced, but they are without doubt not junk. They are testaments to the art of dialmaking.

You are doing a disservice to the watch enthusiasts by pushing this overpriced piece. The honest review here would be to clearly state that this watch is at least $500 too much.
@cy4624 Жыл бұрын
Yet there were watch enthusiasts who gladly shelled out 15 000 for the original panerai 1936 with a $90 Unitas movement, outsourced cnc machined steel case and acrylic crystal to boot beacuse it had made in swiss stamped on it with bunch of bs marketing and media driven hype. Same thing with people paying $480,000 for a Patek Nautilus or $ 100,000's to millions for crap Richard Mille with outsourced and crap finished parts. Most people buy into the swiss label is everything not realizing almost all brands under 10k have parts sourced from China..at least LB put handwork on the dial and was honest about the sourcing

@@cy4624 i appreciate the response on this after 5 years and actually looking back I agree with your response. Knowing more about watches now than I did 5 years ago I understand that the ~1500 USD price point is really not atypical in terms of a playground for out of the box movements from Miyota or Sellita. And yes, plenty of watchmakers from Richard Mille to IWC who sold overpriced pieces with essentially out of the box movements.

maybe its time to unsubscribe w&w. $1000 for watch w/ Miyota movement? I loled
