They are brother and sister and the band is mostly friends they grew up with. Gracy is also an accomplished actress. First saw them a couple years ago in a Jam In the Van concert and have been hooked ever since.

I think the point of the song is that we shouldn't let our insecurities let us feel miserable. Insecurities are normal feelings that can be dealt with, and shouldn't be ignored.
