I’ve been looking for someone who plays worship with the hx effects, nice video 👏🏼 hope you continue doing it. Gby

Thank you! I do really enjoy the HX Effects. I can make things as simple or complex as I want with it.

haha a lot of people who use digital fx pedals for worship use hx effects (although some upgrade to the hx stomp because the hx stomp has amp sims and the hx effects does not). but yeah i got a second hand hx effects and it's super great esp the reverb pedals that rival some of the best analogue reverb pedals out there (on top of the fact that worship patches make use of a lot of heavy reverb). plus, with the amount of customisable and personalisation u can do on the hx effects, it's really worth it

Please make more videos with hxfx showing your setup and settings. Very good sounds from the Atomic Amplifire, too. Very convincing and dialed in.

Sounds great mate, this is extremely similar to how I use my HX effects...I used to have a Tech 21 Sansamp GT2 in the loop of the Effects, but I got a Simplifier a few weeks ago which I've just put at the end of my board...need to play with it's effect loops sometime. I think the HX effects is brilliant and really underrated. Great stuff

Thank you! I really like having the "amp" in the effects loop since I'm using some dirty amp sounds. The Simplifier looks pretty sweet. Heading over to check out your tones now!

As a non-religious person I am sort of fascinated that there is a style of music called 'worship music'. How is it different from other music? I had a listen and to me it sort of sounds like 80's power ballads with sometimes lite RnB or gospelly sort of vocals. Apart from the lyrical content is it really a 'genre'?

I wouldn't say it's a genre. Like you say it has lots of influences from different genres in it. The distinguishing factor is really the lyrics and the fact that the point of the music isn't the music itself. It's typically fairly simple musically so that it can be played by many different worship teams and sung by anyone in the church, and so that the music doesn't take away from the true purpose, which is to worship God. In the context of this video, my pedalboard is set up for the sounds that a lead guitarist in a worship band would typically use. Hope that makes sense!
