Hey thanks for the vid man. I'm wondering how you keep the stereo imaging with stereo delay reverbs before the amp in the stomp? Cus mine always sum to mono.. Mind sharing the signal chain? Thanks heaps! Love your tone and might use yours as a reference!
@NickPotockiMusic2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nata! Yeah the only way to keep the signal stereo with wet FX before the amp is to have 2 amps and 2 cabs in your Stomp or whatever modeller you use. Otherwise you may just have to go with wet FX after amps. Hope that helps!

I have the Angry Charlie and that thing rocks!!! I know the Andy Timmons is based off of that pedal.

Hey man, great video! Nice playing and tones! Not a super extense pedalboard, but you really got the most of your choice of pedals, which is super dope!

You could use the Andy Timmins if your church ever plays Rattle by Elevation!

Bruh ok ur tone is literally perfect!! Question I am looking at Either the morning glory or The Kilt V2 what are ur thoughts? Also ur voice is literally insane just came from ur “you deserve it all”Vid👍👍
@NickPotockiMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hey man super appreciate that, very kind of you haha!!! I personally would go for the kilt v2. I feel like it’s more versatile with how much or little gain you want out of it so yeah I’d go kilt v2! Good luck man!

Compressor boost your signal too, you do not necessarily need a compressor though.

...maybe, if only used as a clean boost.

Sounds great man. Most people don't use wet effects before the amps on HX stuff.. but I'm right there with ya on that. I find that the wet effects are too clean and the delay makes too much of a droning noise when placed after the amps. Not name dropping, but the well known patch creators selling their patches claiming the Helix amps aren't good at handling wet effects before the amps are full of crap. It's all personal preference, and knowing how to make the verbs sound good when you kick on an overdrive.

I always shy away from using shimmer reverb in case the endlessly ascending octaves are too 'Jacob's Ladder' and inadvertently annoys the almighty.

Could you share your Hx Stomp preset? I've always found it tough to dial in the reverbs and delays when they're in front of the amps.

...not writing about ambient swelling... I.M.O. taken with a grain of salt. Maybe dial back the way HUGE verb, and let us here some more of your great playing 👍. There can be too much air, tone and articulation gets lost in all the "wide open grand auditoriumness" of things. I.M.O. try dialing back on your next recorded rehearsal, see if you like it?. God Bless

Love seeing this! I have tried the Morning Glory a few times on my board and just can't seem to get it dialed for how I'd like it. I'm using the Kilt and Benson now and loving it. I recorded a video walking through my journey for others to reference as well - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnm7mqF5obOrqJI
