You have access to multiple pages per bank, so if I were needing to program more I’d probably just set up another page or two of BPMs. You can also just toggle over to the next bank if that’s easier too. Everything in the video is all on Bank 1. You could potentially copy/paste this setup on several banks and just change the songs and BPMs to reflect your set list. Just a couple ideas!

Hi Sam, I also did a setup with the Volume X Mini Pedal DVP4 after the overdrive (Ibanez TS10), but a pedalboard technician told me that this volume pedal, being high impedance, goes after the guitar. He suggested me to replace it with a low impedance pedal like Boss FV-500-L. Do you agree with this update, have you ever tried the difference or do you think that even a high impedance pedal is fine there in the middle? Thanks
@SamWittek2 ай бұрын
Hey I haven't had any problems personally, but I know that a passive VP like this one can cause some tone suck. That's particularly why I go directly into a buffer first in my chain (and use several other buffered pedals throughout the chain). I've A/B tested going through my board vs directly into the ToneXs and I can't hear any audible tone loss so I'm personally ok with where my VP is at in the chain, but results will definitely vary depending on your setup. That's why you will see some people run the dunlop VP via expression out of a MIDI device, or a boost like the vertex boost so that it doesn't cause any tone suck. Hope this answers your question!

Hey Sam! Amazing tone. For syncing tempo to your timeline with the mc6, are you sending persisting midi clock or sending timed tap messages (at the bpm, which would set GLOBAL tempo)? I’m trying to figure out a way to set the Global tempo in the timeline with my MC6 mkii. I’m thinking that the CC Waveform generator in the mc6 might work but are you using another workaround? In a previous vid you were using midi clock but in this vid I noticed that the Tap color was orange instead of green which I think means it’s not syncing to a midi clock
@SamWittek2 ай бұрын
Hey man thanks! I'm pretty sure I'm just sending persisting midi clock from the mc6 pro. I’m pretty new to the TONEX stuff too and I also have the benson and vox from time factor but didn’t like them for the first few days of playing with them. I think the key is dialing in the input trim first, then the gain, then master volume to control the amount of headroom you want.

I had the same issue with ac30 stuff, it didn't take my Benson or Duellist very pleasantly with my Strat. From ToneNet, try the Mayer clean (it's like the #1 downloaded patch ever if you sort the results ), it's a great warm neutral tone that I use for everything. I also bought WorshipTutorials' Matchless pack and it's excellent too.
@SamWittek2 ай бұрын
Thanks! 🙌🏻 Yeah good questions, since you're not loving having the wet effects after, are you running in mono currently with the wet effects before? Also are you using a big box toneX or a toneX one? Take my thoughts with a grain of salt, but honestly if I were in your shoes I'd do whatever I could to invest in the amps first, even if that meant off-loading some drive options or down sizing a bit. If I just had the one big box tonex, I'd try to sell it and target getting two tonex ones. Another option could be selling the single tonex and going for either an iridium or acs1 since those both have stereo inputs. As far as drives/captures go, it's hard for me to say without being able to hear it, but I really dig the TS AC30! I found that I had better success using the clean captures, and gaining it up to taste, as opposed to starting with the edge of breakup captures and gaining them down to taste. Past that I'd just prioritize dialing my overdrives mostly pushing volume as opposed to gain. If you're still having trouble with the capture, you could always try Tone Factor's free AC30 too. It's great, and definitely a different flavor. It's darker so it might pair with your single coils well. Hope this helps!

I think most guitar players in the worshop community have no originality when it comes to gear. The same old pedals time and time again. If you don't like my opinion, that's fine, but I'm allowed to have one.

@SamWittek It has nothing to do with playing worship music. It has everything to do with the unoriginal gear choices you all make. You can basically copy and paste a worship board for everyone to use minus one other two pedals. Oh, and I don't know why I have to clarify this, but it's my opinion. that's all. You might not like my gear choices, and that's completely fine.

@@chrishepburn1503 hey that's fine, you're totally entitled to your own opinion. I think it does bring up an interesting question though, why is it bad if people who play the same genre of music use the same gear? That would be like criticizing rock/metal players for using rat-style distortion pedals and Marshall amps instead of "being original." I think it really comes down to the player and how they use the gear rather than the gear itself. That's just my opinion though 🤷🏻♂
