Worship Session - 19/04/20

After uploading a little worship from home session a couple of weeks ago I noticed a lot of comments and messages asking for another one, so I recorded one today! I'm glad it's been a blessing to people. These are just devotional times with the Lord, captured very simply, but I hope it helps you with your quiet time too.

Im a truck driver and I first heard this song driving down the road...I had to pull over and cry it spoke to me so much. It felt so good. Now it's my favorite song for the moment. There is so much stress in my life right now. My uncle has cancer but is going against the doctor as if he wants to die sooner. My dad is getting old and starting to have problems with his body. I have final exams coming up right now. And as much as I try, I can feel my faith slowly drifting away. This has really helped me calm down. I feel like listening to others express their love for God really gives me strength. It feels like a hug, or at least as if you're reassuring me that God's blessings will come. You know at night is when i want to be in the internet. And loose myself in the darkness of the world, watching and listening to things that don't fulfill me but only leave me empty and sad. Tonight was special as i was alone with God. I pais him for everything he does for me. I keep falling into fear and it turns me away from God’s love and I’ve been making excuses and at night the Lord put Romans 12 on my heart. And I realized how much of a hypocrite I have become saying one thing but doing another, I want to be new, I want to read the bible in all its authority and do exactly what it says, I need the Lord to break my heart from the things that break his heart. Hey man.. this is incredible... So you wrote this session nearly 2 years ago. I felt prompted to put this particular session on without knowing the songs before hand at all. Every.Single. Song was what I had been praying about all of last week and then I just had to fall flat on my face because I felt complete surrender..and when I did that...you started singing about taking me into the throne room.... and man I was there..... like. Today I was crying to the Lord and there is so much pain in my heart why do good people always get treated so bad 😭💔 When I hear this song, I was reminded of peace, love, comfort that God is giving to us everyday. He is the only one who will love us unconditionally and will always remind us that he will never leave us nor forsake us even in the times of full of hurt, injustice, violence that are going in this world. I grew up without a Father. So many walk that same path of life, never knowing the TRUE guidance a Father can provide, the sense of protection, the unwavering love a Father is supposed to extend to his children. It only got harder once I had children of my own, HOW do I be a Father, when I don’t even know what it means…so many abandon their children asking that same question to themselves. God changed everything, God began showing me what it meant to love, to care, to nurture…but not just my children, but those around me “thy neighbor”. I realized I knew no Father, just so I could come to know THE FATHER, when the time was right 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 We are going to have “Moments of Uncertainty” But that is not as important as the element you use to relieve yourself. Many followers of Christ are still indulging in our vices and addictions to relieve our “Uncertainties” Lean on God in your darkest moments, lean on the word that says you were created with meaning and purpose, lean on the Grace of God…let it steady your mind, your heart and your body. I don’t know who I’m writing to, who’s reading this, but God is ready, and waiting for you to seek him, through Jesus Christ, whom he sent to die the death meant for you and I. Not just on Sunday, not just when you “need” him, not just when you’re desperate…but every day, hour, minute and second of your life.
