Worship Session - 17/01/23

Here's another worship session from a rare clear blue sky in the UK! For this session I wanted to focus on knowing our need for the Lord, and our dependence on Him. Sometimes we realise we don't have it all together and that our own strength is not enough, but it's also where we realise that the Lord is sustaining us by His Spirit and giving us the strength we need to live this life. I hope it's an encouragement to you whether you feel like you're on the mountain tops or in the middle of a dry and dark season.

My wife is 8 months pregnant and as she was driving today, she got involved in a terrible head collision accident. Her car was pushed away 15 metres away while she was inside. I thank God she survived and the baby is okay. God is great.

Today i went into surgery. When asked if i would want to play a song during the moment, i decided to put this one video. It was so peaceful and calming, both for me and the surgery team who thanked me afterwards, saying they'll come back to it as well ✨ thank you jonathan for this !

I suffered from infertility tried for so many years to get pregnant. I always prayed to god to please bless me with a child. I was watching a mother play with her son on tik tok one day I cried and screamed to God "God please give me a child!!!!!" that same day something in me told me to take a pregnancy test... it came back positive! I couldnt believe it I was in tears and in shock!I took more pregnancy tests and they all came back positive! A week after I found out I was pregnant I found a cross necklace a few steps away from where I worked at and I then knew it was really God all along and never left my side. I now have a 11 month healthy beautiful baby boy. He's turning 1 in a few days! God is good!

Thank you, this worship means a lot to me. I am able to worship God, lately I’ve been very thirsty of His presence and felt that I am slipping away from His purpose because of anxiety. While worshipping I can feel God’s presence, I’m literally crying the whole worship session. I just cannot explain how good God really is to my life. Thank you Lord, for reviving me once again. 37:00 When I heard you say the word faithful, I had a epiphany and it was the first time I understood what faith is, it was crazy!! I heard it, and suddently it mixed with the words from my mother language (portuguese), which is different, and now I'm able to understand and feel the meaning!! (check the end for a portuguese🇧🇷 explanation) FAITH in my language is 🇧🇷 FÉ 🇧🇷, but it has a meaning very attached to BELIEVE, so it was very hard for me to understand what FÉ means, because I only thought of it as synonym of BELIEVING my whole life, and I struggled with simple terms like God is Faithful, Have Faith, God wants us to have Faith... I was struggling because, since it meant "believing", sometimes I'm not sure I believe, so I became insecure... But the funny thing is, if you have FAITH, you are FAITHFUL, and in my language, if you have FAITH (FÉ), you are LOYAL (FIEL), and then it allows FAITH to also mean FIDELITY, LOYALTY (FIDELIDADE) !!! This gave me a totally different understanding of Faith!!! See: Faith is loyalty, when you are faithful to your partner, you don't look for second options: he is the one. When you are faithful to a promise, you pay close attention to what you promise, because you know you cannot promise and not deliver, so you become diligent and work hard to deliver it, because giving up on the promise is not a choice!! So if I have Faith in God, in Jesus, it is not just a matter of "I believe it" (like I used to think about faith) but it's about being loyal to that which I believe to be true!! If he is the savior, I want him to save me! I want to understand his teachings, and if he acted as if it was so important, it must be, because he believed and acted based on the truth! And since I believe in him, I want to be loyal to him and follow his advices in my life! Now I see how I can "have FAITH in God (ser FIEL a Deus)" If he promised me he would save me, and he is loyal (God is Faithful), I feel very blessed to be able to be saved!! And to be happy with his teachings that are so life empowering! And if God is Faith, is Faithful, is Truth, and we should have Faith in the Truth, now it means to be LOYAL to the truth, to act according to it, so if an action leads to untruth, it is not a proper path to follow. Quando você é fiel a uma promessa, você presta muita atenção aquilo que promete, pois você não pode prometer e não cumprir, então você se torna diligente e dá duro pra cumprir, pois desistir de cumprir a promessa não é uma opção, principalmente se for para alguém importante!! Então se eu tenho Fé em Deus, em Jesus, agora não é mais só questão de "acreditar" (como eu costumava pensar sobre Fé), mas é questão de ser LEAL àquilo que eu acredito ser verdade!! Se Ele é o salvador, eu quero que ele me salve! Eu quero entender seus ensinamentos, e se ele agia tal como seus ensinamentos fossem muito importantes, devem ser mesmo, pois ele acreditava e agia baseado na verdade! E já que eu ACREDITO nEle, eu quero ser LEAL à Ele e seguir seus conselhos na minha vida! Agora entendo como é "TER FÉ em Deus" Se Ele prometeu que me salvaria, e ele é FIEL, eu me sinto abençoada de poder ser salva! E ser feliz com seus ensinamentos para a vida, que são enriquecedores e valiosos para se seguir. E se Deus é Fé, é Fiel, é a Verdade, e devemos ter FÉ na VERDADE, agora isso quer dizer que devo ser LEAL à VERDADE, agir de acordo com ela, e portanto se uma ação me levar a um caminho enganoso, mentiroso, falso, esse não é um caminho apropriado para seguir.
