Personally, I think it is not really like that. The pattern of this video is: TRLR TRLR TR We can count in music sheet like this: 1-[T] And (of 1)-[RLR]-2 And (of 2)-[T] 3-[RLR]-and (of 3) 4- [T] And (of 4) [R] Hopefully, you can get my idea.

Or you can count like this: 1 and a 2 (TRLR) and 3 e and (TRLR) 4 and (TR)

Yes the second pattern (TRLR TRLR TR) will work because that song is in 4/4. The first pattered (TRLR) is for songs in 6/8.
