There is a member on our team who has a hard time hearing her mix due to an inner ear problem and we do not have the budget to be able to get her better monitors to help not fatigue her ears as much and maintain her hearing healthy!! It would be an amazing opportunity to be able to bless her with these monitors!!

A tip that helped with my CCA-C10's is to take the twist tie that comes with the product and wrap it around the two wires to create a tension adjustment neck slider thingy. When done properly it works well! Also, ZNARI earbud foam tips are helpful for sound isolation. :)

I love to have these for the Musicians leader. As a small worship group is hard to look for in-ear systems that can be good on price and last a long time. I truly appreciate your sharing of these 5 options for the Church Musician community. I know that if we get one of these options as a church we can work together to get more in-ear headphones so that everyone in the worship group can hear themselves and the singers.

Nice comparison! I just purchased a pair of KZ AS-10s, which falls just outside your criteria. First practice with them I was disappointed - muddy, lack of solid bass, wouldn’t stay in my ears. Ordered some foam tips and it made all the difference. They’re comfortable, plenty of bass, clear vocals and instruments. Definitely keepers (with foam tips)!

I want to gift this to my younger brother, who is a drummer at the church. He is currently using bulky headphones and often gets frustrated. He was promised a pair of IEM from someone in the church and was measured for them and everything. That guy never kept his promise and hurt my brothers feelings and he became discouraged. I know these would be a HUGE blessing to him and lift his spirit as he continues to serve in the church!

This way he can feel the sensations, as well hearing the air movement.

@@skizzlemane1 frequencies aren't just sound. They also are vibrations. So being 20hrz and lower is inaudible. The only way for you to acknowledge the wave would be through sensation. I bought the BASNs on your recommendation and I have to say you are right on the money. They sound especially good using a ‘Dragonfly’ DAC. In case folks don’t know the DAC in your phone is not that great although they are improving. Basically it converts data (1s & 0s) into a sound you can hear, hence the name Digital Analogue Converter. I thought you’d like know. All we need now is an affordable DAC. By the way did you know that BASN stands for Be A Sincere Newcomer?

I have been working on expanding/improving our audio system over the past 4 years. I recently added 2 IEM units that our contemporary WL uses. I almost have our Blended WL, my boss, the worship pastor, convinced to start using IEM. So, I will give these to Charles Colvin as his introduction to using IEM's. By the way...he is 63 years old...if that adds any points to your selection criteria.

There are two things that I would have found REALLY important to know: 1. Isolation. If you’re on a silent stage or have drums in an aquarium, this is a non-issue. If not, ... this is arguably more impartant than sound quality. 2. Sound linearity above 100 Hz. While I love sub bass too (who doesn’t?), I think this is much much more important. IEMs don’t have to be perfectly linear but they shouldn’t have 15 dB dips or spikes and most in this price range have that. To my ears, that has disqualified every budget IEM I’ve tried. I know you did this test about a month ago but is there any chance you could elaborate on this? P.S.: Excellent closing words.

She has been so faithful to the team since she started and has been such a blessing to the team. At the time she has a pair of $10 Walmart earbuds. Great video, I have been wondering about cheaper earbuds that I could gift to the worship team members that can’t afford good ones. Thanks for the info!!!

I have tried all of those buds and my choice for musicians was the KZ ZS3 (not listed). The main reason was the listen-ability over an hours time. Not harsh yet clear for long term listening. This is a relevant category when you're talking about monitoring an instrument. All of those others were way too harsh on the high end. The ZS3 have plenty of bass and separation when fitted properly to your ears. And at $12.99 they were a steal. The bad..the connector kept falling out. One dab of super glue and no problems after. A side note, I play drums and keyboard and use these with my worship team and secular band. Our worship team uses the Roland M 48 and my secular band runs the Behringer X32 with Ipad personal monitoring, hard wired into a Anleon S1 headphone amp. I was using the Shure CL 215's, but these $13 KZ ZS3's sound way better!

Your first mistake was using an iPad. Apple restricts the bit rate to 192 kbps. That might be why all these IEMs struggled.

I was actually watching this video to help out our worship team. And when I heard give away, my first thought was our worship leader. She is the pastors daughter and has grown up watching her dad pouring his heart into the church. Just to catch the same heart and passion for the church. She is always giving and caring. But sometimes lacks confidence. Except this year so far she has already made commitment to step into her calling. Honestly I could go on about on it. But God has put it on my heart and my wife’s to serve this family who is always serving.

I realize this is way old but someone may still need to hear it. If you’re a worship leader you don’t need IEMs to enjoy the music. You need IEMs to hear what your musicians are giving you so you can constructively direct the sound. That’s not to say you need a pure reference set, but you need to have an approximation of what they’re hearing in the pew so you can talk with some realism to your team and to the booth.

Of course, they are hesitant due to cost, and the band is an "older" group that is not familiar with new technology. I have a single receiver that would work with these for a test. We just moved our church from a school that we worshiped in for the last 8 months, to our new permanent location and building up our stage currently.

Even when he was recovering from a surgery (which he barely mentioned to me) he was excited to be there, serving! It might be subtle but he makes such a difference in every time he walks on stage with us. #2 He is always one of the most prepared people in the room. He is there early, and has always put significant time into practicing. #3 This guy is technically a senior adult. I know his hearing can't the best. I mean I'm 32 and mine probably isn't the best lol.

My church is in the process of going to in ear monitors over stage monitors right now. Most of our team is on maybe 1 Sunday a month so putting in any large amount of money(anything over probably $20) for most on in ears isn't worth it. Several people had picked up the MEE audio M6 Pros who are on 2-3 times a month. They actually are pretty decent honestly from when I've used them and we can change the EQ a little for them on our board. I'm probably going to pick up a few pairs of the Easy KZ ZST's though for that price though and possibly recommend those now!

As mainly interested in live streaming, my only choice woud have been 4th Place (MEE audio M6 PRO) because they are the only clear IEM´s in this test. On stage, it seems not to be important if these devices are prominent, but when it comes to live streaming, most people may go for a more discrete solution.

Thanks for the video. It has been two years since your video was out but I still wanted to learn about IEM. I have purchased the KZ ZS10 Pro for under $50 and I love them. They have 4 balanced drives and one dynamic drive. I love how clear and loud they are. I use them to listen to music. And I agree you do not have to have a ton of equipment to worship. I once attended a small church were they had several large speakers and a control panel to manage the music and the mics. For me it was over the top, when we would have heard the guitar and the singer easy enough. They were presenting like they were in a bigger venue than the 20-30 people in the congregation. The other thing was that they rented the church where the service was held every Sunday and as a result the equipment had to be carried into the church and later carried out and it took a group of us to do that. That church eventually ended and we moved on to a bigger church. God Bless you.

@@ahambhramasmii You should learn to listen to sounds, like usually instruments like Hi-hats are on the higher range, while vocals and drums are on mid and lower range. Depending on the quality and music you listen to, you can hear how the drivers response to each frequency ranges, a balance sound means well "Balanced" each drivers produce sounds equally clear.

Sir, I have multiple sets of KZ in ears, including the very top of the line 5 driver version. For the money, they sound terrific and build quality is very good. However they simply will not stay in place when playing (drummer) No matter which ear tip I tried or fiddling w/ over ear wire.....just won't work. Also the little 2 pin connection to the cable is a bit fragile and comes apart easily. I went back to the Shure 215. Not the greatest sound, but stay in and built like a tank.

My worship teammate lost his house because of a fire incident in their area. All of his stuff, from guitar stuff to other tech-y stuff got burned down and the only thing he got was a couple of guitar pedals. It would really help him to start over again with your IEM giveaway.

I want there because I want to give these to my guitar player, Chris Martin. Chris is plays acoustic. He works 60 hours a week just to pay his bills. He has a heart for God and serves His people in so many ways. He sings several songs as lead each week. As soon as he is off of the stage, he heads to Children’ Worship to lead worship for 20 minutes. He then makes his way back to the main worship center to end the worship service. He also leads worship for our youth every Wednesday Night. HERE’S THE RUB... His KZ ZST Pros were under water, as were all of the praise team’s. We had a high pressured 3” main burst in the church during a fire system inspection, flooding the entire church facility back on August 2nd. When testing the sprinkler system, the inspection company could not close the valve. They used another tool to give more torque. They still could not close the valve. However, they did crack the valve, which burst the line. For 90 minutes, we had high pressure water flooding through our facility. Upstairs, main worship area added on from the original church, suffered anywhere from 7” to 1’ of water damage. The lower elevation to the original building, which is now the fellowship hall, had almost 2’ of water, all of which flowed right downstairs. There sustained the WORST DAMAGE. There were area of 3’ - 4’ of water damage. It was insane! His were left his in ears downstairs from Wednesday’s Youth Ministry Worship Area. As noted above, downstairs was a complete loss. Anything down there had to be thrown out. There was no way to inventory the items that had to go. Thankfully, the rest of the team’s in ears were on stage, upstairs, out of the way of the rising water. His commitment to many areas of worship ministry caused him to lose his in ears. He didn’t push getting a new pair from the insurance settlement, as he couldn’t prove they were down there... gotta love Insurance! Also, when we have to spend $1.4 million to complete the whole facility, working on an insurance payout of $1.2 million. We literally just got back into the newest portion of the worship facility. They have also completed the bathrooms in the foyer connecting the two halves of the facilities to one. However, we have not been able to get into the fellowship hall and the youth and children’s ministry centers, which were downstairs, which sustained the most damage. The bright side of tragedy is that we wanted to gut out the whole downstairs and renovate them to fit current growth and future needs of those areas. That was going to be extremely costly for us, but we were able to do that with the additional 200K overage against the insurance money we received, alone with opening up our main level foyer. These projects together were going to run us 600K to complete. To get both completed for only 200K was a blessing from God. We will praise Him in good times as well as in the storms. God is blessing our church, giving us a new perspective of how we can serve our community outside the walls of the church. So many come into our community with blinders on. We are forcing the blinders off by using the local Recreation Center in the middle of our area of Rock Hill, the Northside Recreation Center. We have hosted basketball tournaments, sponsored the community candy giveaway on Halloween, held by the City of Rock Hill, as well as holding out Trunk or Treat there, where we had hundreds of families come through. Everything we do has a “Heart to God; Hand to Man” (William Booth, founder of The Salvation Army in 1865 in East End of London, known as London’s Skid Row). We held a community service day where we went in and painted the walls of the entire facility! We also sponsored and held the community wide Thanksgiving Meal and collected toys for the community Angel Tree, provided from the City of Rock Hill from their requests for assistance. We are also partnering with Now that we are back in the upper, main facility, we are continuing to meet the needs of those in OUR COMMUNITY, in the name of Jesus. We are adapting our building facility to meet the needs of our community. Chris has been there every step of the way. I have been proud of his renewed sense of serving God. However, he has yet to free up the finances to purchase new in ears. He is using my spare set of KZ ZST’s. It would be great to get him a new pair of in ears at no cost to him. He has sacrificed reimbursement to help fund additional costs to make the areas downstairs conducive for the youth and children ministries’ current & future needs. Please help God reward Chris Martin for good works through generosity of Worship Leader Hangout. Thank you for your consideration! God bless you for all you do to help worship leaders serve God with fresh and relevant perspectives. God bless. Robert Davis

I am a worship leader at our church. All of my band members have in ears, except my bass player, who is currently playing on some headphones that he is constantly fighting with. I'd love to test them out and see if he likes them then maybe look into getting them for the band. I loved this video by the way! I currently have some KZ's, I forgot which ones I have, terrible I know, but I like them so far.

Her name is Dulce. She has been leading worship at our church for over 12 years. Since we transitioned to in-ear monitors (about 1 year ago), she is the only one who does not own in-ear monitors in our group. Our church is a small congregation and I wanted to buy her a pair out of pocket, but my finances haven’t been great since May last year. Thanks for reading!

We're working on switching our church's youth band over to in-ears. Several of the adult players have their own IEMs or can afford to buy their own. However, we have a young Keyboard player who is eagerly jumping in and working his butt off. I'd love to gift a set of IEMs to him to get him started off right.

I want these in ears because I want to give them to one of my worship leaders. She’s an Australian that moved to America a few years ago to start a life here and became a worship leader. She has 1 baby and is expecting in the next week or so. She currently uses Apple headphones for her in ear monitoring. As a worship leader, I’d love her to have better in ears to be able to hear the band better and lead more confidently.

I would give these to my father because he runs sound at our church and lately he’s been running back of house so he needs a good pair of in ears. He has a pair of normal earbuds but we all know those aren’t the greatest; also his birthday is coming up in March so it would be a nice gift.

I would give it to myself, if that is possible. I'm an aux keys player (the guy on pads and synths) and it's really hard to hear myself when the whole band is playing. I was interested in the 3rd and 1st but my parents weren't able to get them (oh and I'm 16)...so I just use normal earphones instead .
