Amen. Needed this. I’m surviving by the grace of GOD! Heavenly Father please continue to protect me and my sons. I’m a single mother God has carried me. Both of my sons are special needs. I’m overwhelmed at times. I suspect the song writers are using the poetic license in the bridge section not just referring to Matt 6:33 but to an earlier passage as well: ‭Matthew 6:19-21 ESV‬ [19] “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, [20] but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. [21] For where your treasure is, there your heart will be. If our heart is in the "treasures of heaven" then our focus would be: 1.Worshipping and loving God versus money and wealth. 2.living for Christ and serving Him. 3.Serving the poor and needy 4.Lifestyle that honours Christ - bringing Joy to Abba Father. I suspect the song is based on various verses on chapter 6. They may have added the "treasure" because of focus of the song and verse 20.
