I have led this song (vocally and acoustic) way back in 2008 when the song was newer. Now here I am 14 years later, and our team is playing it for the first time at a different church, and I'm on electric. This video is such a solid cover/tutorial. Thank you for helping me with an oldie but a goodie! There are some amazingly fun parts in this one!

Just wanted to say how much i've grown as a guitar player in such a short amount of time, from all your tips and tutorials. I'm getting ready to play this song this weekend, and a lot of questions I had about playing this song, particularly centered around tone and chord voicing, are answered in videos like these. Thank you so much! Praise on, continue to fight the good fight, and God Bless!

As a worship guitarist myself who's looking at making the switch from amps and pedals to modelling, you really keep me interested in the Helix when I think I'm sold on the Kemper haha. I'm both blessed and cursed by this! I so appreciate your guys videos. Blessings from a Canadian brother!
@worshiptutorials7 жыл бұрын
+Ryock thanks! Well to add to your confusion, my buddy Bradford (who is in a lot of videos) uses a Kemper and I love it, too. One thing to note is the Kemper is a much more expensive investment comparatively. You’ll still need a pedalboard, or the Kemper remote, and to equal the tone and flexibility of the Helix, you’ll need a pretty expensive board, plus a Kemper costs more than a Helix itself. But they’re both awesome. One thing I love about the Kemper is you can basically get any amp you want. Helix is limited to the ones they model.
@MrRyocks7 жыл бұрын
Worship Tutorials - You should encourage Bradford (who is a great player) to make a demo of how he runs his Kemper live. I'm really impressed with the workflow of the helix but I think the kemper has the best amp profiles at the moment. If only the helix and the kemper would have a baby... but that may be a little unbiblical haha

4:21 what kind of chords are in this part? Could you tell me how to grab this chord and what strings to play? Looks like you are holding bottom 3 strings
@dylanchan79134 жыл бұрын
It appears to be an E chord. However, he is just playing the D, G, and B strings. Hold down the D, G, and B strings at the 9th fret, while muting the other strings. Strum the three strings as sixteenth notes for the first two measures, then press down the 10th fret on the B string while holding onto the other frets, and play for another two measures. Finally, shift your hand up two frets, holding the same fretting pattern. Those three chords are all he uses during the chorus.

Question: why didn’t you use the tremolo arm? I have a strat myself and with this song it sounds truly amazing with a light trem when you lay down the E chord at the verses but that is just my opinion as a amateur guitarist compared to you guys😂 Great playthrough!!! Both of you are a blessing for worship guitarists!!!

Do you have tabs for this tutorial? Or a breakdown of the guitar parts by section so people can follow the finger patterns? What good is a tone if the notes are not right in order?
