Honestly though, I hope HC gets tuned to levels people deem "adequate" without him being absolutely gutted, because he has to be satisfying to play for people who like resource management and what not, and I never mind clawing my way out against zoners because that victory feels so absolutely satisfying.

@@Jardonius HC recently got a increase to the focus cost of shots which makes both versions of focus moves more important so when fighting a HC you'll probably have more chances to punish focus moves or when their focus is depleted.

@@Jardonius I just checked the patch notes and yeah they increased the cost of blue shots especially when in succession, it looks like the orange shots (steady aim) costs the same but the duration of the guard crush was decreased. Basically hc's gotta use focus moves more and will have a more difficult time doing that and reloading. Btw Im a HC main but after the update I used elphelt cause new character and I just a week or so ago was the first time I picked up HC since the update but I didn't remember the nerf so I kept messing up some combos which worked different before. I can't be mad tho it's a good nerf plus I got some laughs out of fumbling a bunch of combos.

I love watching FGC tournaments in Brazil because we fucking LOVE cheering for the underdog and we cheer the fuck of any plays that are awesome so it just ends up being some giga hype matches because the crowd is going wild while the players are doing their best it gives this feeling of everyone enjoying it all together with as much energy possible.

The struggle is worth because the satisfaction is sublime, he may be bottom tier but the character feels so powerful everytime I play it + Pot mirror matches are the most respectful and wholesome thing I ever experienced in a videogame

Maybe cause I play pot as a fun secondary... But I end up running into the sweatlord Potemkins a little more than I do the humble homies. I will try to respect after getting my ass beat 4 matches in a row and they just buster me anyways. The homies are there, but they're usually busy fighting other people so I miss out on all the "Haha heehee" moments more often than not :C

I feel like calling Potemkin a bad character is absolutely insane given his number of options now with heat tackle to add on to his arsenal. I wouldn’t say yes top tier but he’s always felt very very threatening and like a character you absolutely have to respect at all times due to his sheer number of options. Arc sys makes the most fun grapplers hands down.

question how is pot the worst at least pot has options characters like Faust can't even win without a lot of luck and skill while pot does 3 grabs and wins it's so easy to win with pot while other characters struggle much more how is that considered the worst character.

I think Pot is in a much better place now after the December patch (this tournament was before that). I personally didn't think he was the worst, but knew he had to struggle to get good results. Execution wise he is really unreliable. If you watch a Potemkin match there is almost always a flub input. I do think he could beat a lot of people from floor 1-8 and maybe 9 because he can punish really hard for people making a mistake. But higher levels people know his knowledge checks and it's hard to get something going with him. I pretty much just looked at all the top players tier list and all of them had pot at the bottom or second worst character. He also rarely ever gets to top 8 at major tournaments. (I can think of only 3 tournaments that I've seen pot be in top 8 world wide and only 1 in America) So that's where I got my data from.
