She's Ukrainian, so she has a Ukrainian passport. Even if she was Russian and only had a Russian passport, she'd still be able to travel to Ukraine. The only difference is that, since 2018, Russians have to explain their reason for travelling to Ukraine. Before the annexations, you could travel freely between the two countries. Is having to show a passport really that big of a deal to you?
