​@@MrValgardits not feasable in terms of competitive integrity. For stsrters, if one region got all their 4 teams in the 2-0 or 0-2 matches you couldnt do that. And swiss is just designed to get the best 4-5 teams out (those who can actually win it all). Its originally made for chess, not a sport where you have teams being bundled together in different groups or regions.

This draw is honestly kinda good for EU tho. WBG was probably the best team G2 could have drawn beside C9, FNC should win against gam, and BDS vs MAD ensures one EU team for the next round. We should have at least 3 teams in the middle bracket with a chance of having one in the upper if G2 wins which could definitely happen.

WBG is better than BLG and LNG so I’m not sure. They won 4 times in a row vs JDG but I think they are equal lvl atm. MID and BOT will be hard gapped I think. Don’t think light will allow himself to lose to someone like hans sama since he cleared Ruler in those games they played vs each other. G2 should ban KSante/Gnar/Rumble or GP and let yike path top otherwise it’s gg.

I don't think it does. There's still a high chance to get BO3 Civil Wars unfortunately. Teams can still play against one another even if they already did before. You can easily have scenarios where depending on how 1-1 teams play, civil wars can happen as early as 2-1 or 1-2.

@@stephenkim96Teams aren't supposed to play each other twice even if they end up back in the same bracket in Swiss. So if for example C9 wins, then loses to go into the 2-1 bracket, and LNG loses and wins to go into the 2-1 bracket, C9 and LNG should not be paired in the 2-1 bracket. I don't think Riot are doing this but that is how it should be done.

So there's a chance that KT and DK both go 2-2 and have to play against each other again in a BO3. most of these teams get 1, at most 2 opportunities to play other regions a year (if at all), viewers wait all year to see their regions battle it out and second day is already a repeat of MSI where we see repeats of the regular season, regional playoffs and regional qualifiers - even worse for the teams that won't go very far and fought for 3-4 chances of cross-regional play only to repeat match-ups that they played in 10+ games this split already and will meet again just a few months after worlds In the last 6 months we saw: JDG-BLG (2 Bo5 and 1 Bo3 in spring alone + Bo5 MSI, 2 Bo3 regular season) T1-GEN (2 Bo5 in spring, 1 Bo5 MSI, 2 Bo3 regular season spring) TL-NRG (2 Bo5, 2 regular season) BDS-MAD (bad gameplay incoming) DK-KT (that one is alright)
