@FAT88934 жыл бұрын
@Henning Gu I'm with you about LG. The fact that the DualScreen for V50 (and G8X for that matter) is just a mere accessory means that I can plug it in when necessary and plug it out when I don't want to. It is definitely a worthy solution.

The design is really cool looking. I don't know what he's talking about by 'sharp corners." The software sounds like the problem, not the design itself. Yeah it could be set up a little better and smoother, so it could be set down. I think if this was remade to work out the bugs, it would be epic.

I've done quite a lot of customization actually. Re-calibrated the screen on my Nexus 4, overclocked it, flashed Paranoid Android 3+ Alpha ROM, and Franco kernel. Customizing iOS is different from Android. On jailbroken iOS you can easily customize UI and add features without flashing custom software / ROM. And the features actually pile up instead of overwriting others like what custom ROM does. Both OS are just as customizable.

I think that if it was reinvented it could be great. Give it a 5.5 inch display that could be opened into roundabout 7-8 inches, remove the screen gap and make it a lot thinner, give it a HD display with 128gb of rom and not to mention a 2ghz quad core chipset with 2gb of ram, and you have yourself the perfect phone / tablet.

i think this would be a good idea, if they: 1) made it sleeker-looking with a better hing system. the one here is bad, what they should have done is make it pop open like a keypad and snap into place next to the secondary one. 2) newer firmware/software with a better integrated two screens. just make two separate launchers on each screen, where you can launch apps individuality, and have them run next to each other. then this may have been a success.

This phone has nothing wrong with it. Android 2.x also has nothing wrong with it! Why are you all hating! I think this was a good execution by Kyocera and I'm going to order one right now. Not as a phone though, as like an ipod. This definitely makes a good ipod-like device. Maybe not as a primary phone. The laptop/Nintendo DS posture with the keyboard is mind-blowing.

@beez1717 Жыл бұрын
I think this phone is really cool. If someone put a later version of android on it that took advantage of the two screens it would still blow my mind today. I like the look of the phone because it's got that so ugly it's a pleasing kind of look. The irony is that I'm watching this video on my z flip 3, a folding phone that solves the issues this phone has, which was to get a larger screen in a less bulky form factor.
