Sleeping Dogs was a sequel as such. It was part of the LA Streets franchise. Reason there was no "true" sequel was because, United Front Games are no more.

My first memory of the crazy frog noise is from a ytmnd (or something similar) and it was just the sound with a picture of an F1 racing car. I admit I found it hilarious. Then I swear it wasn't until a year or more later that all of the crazy frog branding and the ringtones came about. And suddenly it was not hilarious any more.
