I'm an American and I guess maybe it's my Irish and British roots, but there's just something I really enjoy about watching a tournament where it's cold and misty with obviously European scenery in the background. And I also love the soft spoken, dignified commentary.

It’s generally a tactic players use when they are in a position that it is risky to aim for the pin. In his lie, he had the chance of going past the hole and into the water if he aimed right at the pin, so he aimed to the large area of the green that was safer. Sadly though, his shot had poor contact and shot far off the green. Oh by the way, the tactic is called “smart golf”, so clearly you aren’t smart enough to know what it is or how and when to use it.

It’s harsh to call some of these the worst shots of the year. They are genuinely difficult shots which have a high error percentage. The worst shots are ones that have a high success percentage but people completely make a mess of
