Now thats a hunt that will stay with me a long time!! There was no way that hunt should have gone like that, without the lord blessing us on that one! That was the hardest hiding situation I think I’ve ever been in, in the duck woods..

Another great video man!! Hey question tho, so I’ve been having a hard time bringing down mallards with steel 4 shot. Do you think I could use bismuth and keep the 4 shot or should I bring the shot size down even with the bismuth? Appreciate any advice!!

I shoot 2s or 3s. 4s are two small opinion. If i went to bismuth i personally would shoot 3s but 4s would probably be okay in bismuth

Fifteen years ago, I shot #4 steel for all ducks. After going to #3's, my cripple rate dropped significantly. Number 2's tend to not pattern well in most guns/chokes. If your shots are 30 yards or less, 4's will kill easily. It's those 35-40 yard shots where they tend to run out of energy. I still use 4's for the early teal season and they do the job on the little ducks.

Yeah, i think you can have too many when its not windy and there just dead still. But if your talking about leaving that many out at a spot all the time it would be good. Just expect it to be tough on non windy days.
