Hey, don't pooh-pooh the Nissan Micra as the basis for a race car. Up here in the Glorious People's Republic of Canuckistan, we enjoyed the factory-supported Nissan Micra Cup race series for several years. It only ended about 4 years ago IIRC. The countryside around most of our race tracks is littered with parts knocked off those little cars as they went 3 or 4 wide into most corners. Great fun!

@@Khrrck There are actually mounting points for the front one; the rear one needs a bit of engineering.

@@pugwonk3 I'd try it with the single bar first tbh and then see if you still want the rear. Not uncommon for people to run just one on older track cars.

I love race liveries that are split down the middle. It gives the impression that there are two horrible cars that should never be on a race track on the race track.

British racing green for a pseudo jag combined with the rising sun. Even has the glass tape on the racing sedan side. Needs an award for just that .

I remember seeing you guys talk about the Viewt on lemons car spotting. I wonder how he got one for 500 dollars as people will pay way to much for a car just because it has the steering wheel on the wrong side

I guess if it's terrible enough they don't want it. Also I'd say 90% of these people are looking for cars like Supra, RX-7, Skyline and etc.

​@@patrikpoldayeah, generally speaking weird versions of normal cars (so, cheaper mitsuokas or stuff like the subaru Casablanca) aren't generally in much demand

There are loads of cheap ones at the auctions (I just checked and one sold last month for $340). Nice ones are $3k+ but I think the reality is that, in Japan, most of these are bought by people who aren't into fixing cars and so so there just isn't a market for a cute vanity car that stinks of cigarettes and the windows don't roll up. The auction fees were more than the price of the car so I think there's a pretty high chance mine was being scrapped if I hadn't bought it.

Well, regular K11 is really good small car. It's also quite popular for amateur rally stuff in Europe.

Typical Americans assuming just because it's a small foreign car, it must be terrible. K11 Micras are bullet proof. Most successful car to ever complete the Mongol Rally and if you've opened one of their engines up, you know how over engineered they are for a small car.

uh no.. we just dont like tiny cars here its not terrible because its foreign its terrible because its a tiny little rot box.. if your going to display your obvious jealousy of my very wealthy nation at least do your due diligence and get your knickers in a wad for the right reason.. the reason you like this car is because you dont know you dont have to drive around in a shoe for the same money.

The negative-on-Nissan opinions are great and I know nothing about why Nissan deserves this. Just funny! "Because Nissan". Also, Happy Thanksgiving! --- I'm from Fargo, ND and these Mitsuoka body conversions remind me of Classic Roadsters, a kit-car and replica body company in Fargo for a few years in the early 80's. -- Googling this now I am swooning over old pictures of their Austin Healey replica on Chevette frame. Might have to google my high-school girlfriend. ;)
