The logical part of my brain knows this has to be for fun, but then the part of my brain that works for a large Firm, and has interviewed younger folks, can see this being frighteningly real :) All that's missing is his Mom joining in on the call.

I've conducted an interview for a programing job and the guy sat a few feet from the screen with a blurry cam and lip synched as someone else answered our questions. I wish that wasn't true. I also interviewed someone who got answers typed to him as we inteviewed. It was amazing how he woild start by saying he didn't know how to handle trimming leading zeroes to explaining the exact code within a minute. Very impressive.

I interviewed a kid for a culinary internship that was 17. His mom walked into my kitchen, and I was very taken aback because why tf would a parent do that? She proceeded to answer every single question that I asked him. She explained that she wanted him to be a chef because she's a "foodie" and he ate a lot. I wanted to lock her in the walk-in. I thought my cooks were pranking me halfway through the interview because it was so bat shit crazy. The kid stared at the floor the whole time. He had never even cooked ramen for himself. He didn't get a call back, and my sous chef bought me a *big* drink at the end of the night.

I a number of years ago had an Indian who had been in the UK since his childhood, his degree and PhD were from a bogus university in India. We brought him in for an interview, he couldn't answer any questions about psychology and couldn't even inform us which state of India the university he claims to of attended was in. He was unhappy with us that we questioned him about psychological issues, yet the job he applied for was for a psychologist with minimum of 10 years experience. Obviously he didn't get the job and we also posted all hospitals and the board of psychology his name and photograph. But people claiming to of attended universities in India has ballooned over the past number of decades, and some even have their own mental health practices in the US and Canada.
@christiangauthier727Ай бұрын
Oh... That's really bad! They open private practices with fake diplomas? I'm from Montréal, Québec, Canada, so it's scary to learn about this! But I don't go to private psychologists & health care professionals since the system is still good in this regard, so at least I know that it's very unlikely that I'll run into such a fraud (because the Public Healthcare System is very well regulated and people like this would never pass the verifications)! Thanks for the info! It might come in handy one day to help someone I know!
