5:33 A man that can lie to you without a conscience. That's one of the diagnostic symptoms of sociopathy. Scary man indeed. Especially when you consider that sociopaths are often considered dangerous people exactly because of their capability to commit any act. As stated in PhD Martha Stout's "The Sociopath Next Door", a sociopath KNOWS right from wrong. It's just that he lacks the human mental function to allow that knowledge to STOP him from DOING wrong (ie a conscience).

Clearly you forgot the phrase that came right before that: "builds roads and bridges, but if you've got a small business, you didn't build that." Obviously he was referring to the roads and bridges. No one with a brain could possibly believe that a politician would get up and commit political suicide by claiming that small business owners didn't build their own businesses.

I'm getting sick of politicians and wealthy people saying they worked REALLY HARD!! I know VERY many people who worked continued to work their arses off, just to stand still, and have ZILCH! Don't they understand how insulting it is to hard-working people struggling to keep their heads above water? No, they don't. I'm in the UK and we have the same problem..... Elect a Government of men who come from privileged backgrounds and you will regret it!

"nobody else worked seven days a week in their place". But nobody does anything in anyone else's place. Plenty of people do work hard though, and end up with nothing. "Nobody did their... sweating for them". Actually they did. They had to rely on infrastructure and supplies and tools built by someone else. It is in fact, a social system, not an individual one. "Government gets the credit". No, society gets the credit. Work gets the credit. The fact that we are social animals gets the credit.

I haven't heard anyone say that you can tax & spend your way out of debt ... but we can tax & spend our way out of high unemployment and out of this recession. Our highways & bridges are in desperate need of repair. Hiring unemployed to repair them will put money in their pockets to spend at local businesses: groceries, clothing, etc. Then those businesses will need to hire more employees. If Rep governors hadn't cancelled their HSR contracts, how many more jobs would those have created?

My antiquated stats are very current (2011), and as of 2012, it is getting worse in terms of government's dependence upon the taxes from the upper few %. You know, he who pays the musician, orders the tune, and the payer can leave or hire another musician if the tune is not played. It is in (almost) everyone's best interest to get as much people as possible into the taxpayer class. Taxpayers holding the government accountable -- that is the way to go, not government holding accountable people.

I could be wrong--bear in mind that's happened many times, before--but I believe there's a technical discrepancy between middle class and working class. Not that there's a real difference in income, but in the work performed. Working class representing production/labor, middle class representing other workforces. They're just really descriptive labels for the relatively similar income levels. My example = I used to be a machinist, but now I'm a live-in caretaker for a disabled man.

I can't believe Wolf Blitzer actually used the word "lie" to refer to Ryan. He's usually so much wimpier than that, and at least 90% of the media refuses to ever say a politician has flat-out lied.

Your request raises and interesting question. What is a bipartisan news source? That is a rather subjective issue. If I were to reference Fox News, many on the left would say something like "Fox News lies." If I reference MSNBC or CNN, many would say they are biased to the left. If you google "Paul Ryan Responds To So-Called Fact-Checkers Of His RNC Speech" you will hear the report from Paul Ryan himself. It is a Brian Williams interview w/Ryan that NBC has not aired for some reason.

1. Using obscenities & insults in your argument tells others that you have nothing of substance to back your claim. 2. I did find "Pres Obama Has Outspent Last Five Presidents" according to CAI (but NOT the last 5 presidents COMBINED), BUT article also notes that rating federal spending as a % of GDP is not necessarily the best way to reflect a president's spending. 3. Supply-side economics works only under very specific conditions: One of them requires foreign and multinational companies to pay high taxes and tariffs.
