Singing over a loud, full band on stage is really, really hard. Most of us are not blessed with perfect pitch and have to 'hear' our way around. I'd bet that many of these performers did not have a good monitor mix of their own vocals. Without perfect pitch this is a killer.

I believe some artists end up lipsyncing because the routine of shows is very hard. They are pushed into doing shows days in a roll when touring, while dancing and barely sleeping sometimes. But of course, some artists just do it 'cause they can't actually sing well

As a classical singer, I struggled a lot when I began singing on stage. Mainly because I focused so much on the fear of failing that I was too afraid to even try to control my voice and fucked up. No singer can be perfect 100% of the time, especially when you add in all the factors that go into a live performance (monitoring failures, singing while dancing, etc). It takes a real choad to collect a bunch of artists' slip ups and post them as "worst performances." Most of the isolated vocal tracks here don't even sound that bad- if you have any knowledge on the matter you would know that most of these examples would sound fine to the audience in a live setting. And if you like pop music and are mad that an artist lip syncs then I don't know what to say for you

It happens. It's hard to match studio quality live all the time. It's just part of the game, especially when there are tech problems - monitors, bad mix, cant hear yourself or the backing tracks. It makes me nervous, but I 've learned there is always a next time and you can't show negative emotions or disappointment. The show goes on. Practice, practice and give all that you have and be happy with it.

I dont want to think of these artists as bad artists, I can understand that some performances were bad because of some circumstances. But it really would have helped if you put out the reason why it sucked or why it was a fail because usually there is a reason and a valid one. Happens to everyone who sings or plays instruments. Some days or the sound piece in your ear is echoing back like a bad phone call and it's impossible to sing hearing yourself 2 seconds delayed and echoing in your own ear etc sometimes the vocal cords are weird for whatever reason and you go to sing and every note is coming out sharp or flat and you have to stop and work to relax your throat and tongue. Maria's voice was tired and overused, maybe allergies, cold, dried out. Etc sometimes you move around way too much and get yourself way more out of breath than you meant to and you feel like you're suffocating yourself and gonna keel over lol or you miss the chance to swallow your spit and it's pooling in your mouth too long too lol. There's a reason with fast rappers they call it "spittin rhymes" you have to learn to be okay w letting spit just fly out with your words cause there's no time to swallow. People can't really tell but to you if feels like everyone can see and you have to learn to get over it and let the spit fly lol
