The first cups company clearly is unprofessional and if they can't handle feedback from customers then they deserve the shade they are getting. If you can't take feedback from costumers you loose them and aren't allowing room for improvement on your product. As for the other cups I am confused as to why they thought these would make good cups because they look uncomfortable, messy, or nonfunctional. I totally see why you say these were the worst you have tried.

The design has been around since the 1930's. When people ask why I don't design my own it's mostly because there is so little left to innovate. The menstrual disc design was ripe for an improvement so that is where I added my own innovation (Hello Disc) which comes out early next year ;)

I have tried a few (all soft because I knew I needed that before the first time trying a cup, I did research) the only one that really didn't work for me was the saalt soft, the cup was just like sibel or meluna softy. The only issue for me was the stem. It was way too small like a silicone string as well as not stuff at all. It moved around a lot and I ended up scratching myself a lot trying to get it out. It was painful. Just in case you need a list of cups I have tried: Lena sensitive, sibel, meluna softie and saalt soft.

The first cup company's response to very valid critique is almost comedic. "Well you can do this and that and this and that" for something hundreds of cups can do with no problem at all? As mentioned, other cups have no-leak flaps that are designed well enough to pop out for cleaning. If a lot of people agree your design sucks, you just need to take it and try to fix the next design.
@PeriodNirvana3 жыл бұрын
When hundreds of people agreed with me on tiktok and said they agree with my opinion, or had themselves tried it and didn't like it, that is a sign you should listen to your customers! A minor change to that flap or even just removing would fix it. I think they see it as preventing leaks during period s*x but cups are just not good for this. It shouldn't have been marketed as an option, instead just a nice squishy unique shaped cup.

Hearing your story about the xo flow makes me realise just how different the whole cup experience must be for people with lower cervixes. as someone with a very high cervix, every time i use a cup feels like a bit of a dance with danger, they virtually ALL disappear up there if i dont find the correct size/shape! it's definitely made the whole experience of learning cups that much more challenging. the lumma unique disc ended up being my goldilocks - even then sometimes im worried the stem will disappear 😂
@PeriodNirvana3 жыл бұрын
There are such wildly different experiences and those such come with pros/cons. You can use virtually any cup but you might “lose” it and have a super stressful removal. A low cervix person could never lose a cup and has to fight to find one that stays in their body and works without making them feel like they’re giving birth. Love that there are options for the spectrum of those needs.

The bad experience with the cup flipping that you mention and said that if it was the first time you maybe would be scared of trying again. .. So my first time using one was with a well known one here in my country, and i read about cups before and all that (it was like 6 years ago and we didnt have a lot of content about it here yet, but that cup still is really good, just i think i didnt have the knowledge), and so i trimmed the little handle because people said it hurt... But then... I couldnt take it out for the love of god. When i tried to pinch the cup it was slippery and i couldnt grab it (after that i searched and discovered that my cervix is like deeper than most, idk) and i freaked out thinking i would have to go to the er lol. After half an hour of this i decided to take a bath and relax bc i was all tensed up. And then i remembered i had latex gloves (im an esthetician hehe) so i took one and using it and squating i could grab the cup without it slippin away and take it out. Not surprising i ended up traumatized and never used one ever again. But now im starting to want to try again. Thanks for the vids 😊

It’s not that I’m pulling on it like a tampon, but I do have to grab it a bit to get the base of the cup low enough to pinch, and I broke off the first two segments of the stem. Only if you are in a room with magnets it might autodump itself 😅😅 like a CT scan or something

I, too, have been traumatized by the XO cup!!😂😂 unfortunately, that was the first cup I tried and that was the wrong decision. The stem is very irritating and I hand went on an outing and had to go in a public restroom to try and remove it because it was painful. I COULD NOT get that cup out. Pure panic! I was in tears. I got myself together and just dealt with the pain the rest of the day. When I got home I still couldn’t remove it. I finally decided to take a break and come back an hour later. I was able to remove it then. I decided to cut the stem completely off and try again next period and the same thing happened where I couldn’t remove it. Without the stem it’s too slippery and round. It sucks because that is the only cup that has never leaked, not once. They should totally redesign the bottom part. The 2nd worst is the flex cup that you unplug at the bottom. That does not work at all. The 3rd worst for me is the Lumma Disc. I know people love it but I do not like the silicone that they use. I’m not sure it’s even silicone. Can’t be medical grade. It’s almost rough compared to others and doesn’t allow for proper sanitation imo.

It disappoints me a bit that opinion of the beppy :( I literally followed all your advice to get the best cup for me and that is the Beppy. The cleaning isnt an issue. I flip it so easily. I feel you are making a huge issue of a little thing I literally do it in 10 seconds and Ive had it for a year. Also you said you didnt even read the instructions properly at first. I know how you want to review every single cup but It takes at least a couple of months (really more) to know a cup. Makes me feel this reviews are pointless and biased. I have never been a troll in anyway nor I mean to be. However it really disappoints that all those teachings you have given before dont apply to the Beppy. 1 great for heavy periods 2 the softness is perfect for people bladder sensitive 3 the ring makes everything easier and you definitely wont ever lose it at the toilet (happened to me) 4. You feel safer because of its leaking system. 5. Its a hispanic cup and it approaches a very different community and looks to create period awareness in latin and hispanic countries that dont have access to most of the cups you talk about. 6 Guess you can have sex on light days. However its the less important and focusing on those type of stuff is just for the clickbait really. I would love to see you find a better way to do this review thing. Put a cup in it has passed and I feel you can make your content more innovative without talking of pointless issues or cups that are just really for the curiosity shelf. :(

The entire topic of this video is about bad features/experiences. The full review of Beppy that I posted months ago has an overall experience shared beyond the cleaning issue that is actually quite positive. It's available for anyone wanting a review of the product outside of this lens.

please dont title this video "traumatized" as you are making light of actually being traumatized

I just came up with a nick name for that screw cup thingy: “ the crankshaft pumpkin” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 when it’s time for your period, you can say: “gotta go fix my car” 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍 thanks for your video.

Kim I would like to tell you that you don't need to try out crazy looking cuos and rusk injuring yourself. Yes i know you are a reviewer but the 🪛 screw design cup looked horrendous to begin with. Your followers will understand if you show them s cup. Safety first. ❤ Thankyou for your informative content.
