Also, I don't know how many players have done it, but there have been quite a few, by which I mean starting and ending their MLB career in the same city, but with different teams. The Babe started out with the Red Sox. Also, both Darryl Strawberry and Dwight Gooden started with the Mets and ended with the Yankees. There are many more, but I can't think of any right now. And yes, I'll bet the Babe did hate it. He played on seven World Series-winning teams (1915, '16 and '18 Red Sox and the '23, '27, '28 and '32 Yankees).

The Chicago White Sox currently sit at 31-104, a .230 win percentage. If it holds, it would be #1 in the video. Update: They're at 36-119, a .232 win percentage, still #1 and one loss away from tying the 1962 Mets for the most in a season Update: They ended the season with a 41-121 record, a .253 win percentage, which would put them at #5 on this list.

This is somewhat off the subject, as we're talking about individual seasons, but the 1993-2012 Pirates had a losing record every year. Their 20 straight losing seasons were a record for all of the 4 North American pro sports teams-NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB. The only one of those years in which the Pirates lost 100 or more was 2001, when they lost 101. BTW, yesterday (4-23-22) the Cubs beat them 21-0.

@@turbokart3776 Mack's dynasties were wrecked by elements outside his control. The 1910 - 1914 club was upended by the Federal League, which was raiding the majors at the time. He had the best club at the moment, and the A's became a top target. It was Mack, not the Sox or Yankees, who was first offered Babe Ruth, then with Jack Dunn's IL Oriole club. Mack had to pass, as the Feds were hurting ticket sales. The 29-31 club simply had the misfortune of peaking during the Great Depression. Mack broke them up because he lost heavy on Wall Street. The Red Sox rebuilt themselves on the backs of Lefty Grove and Jimmie Foxx, both ex-A's, and future HOF'ers.
