I lived in a rental property some years ago. I had only been there days when I noticed the neighbor washing their car but, their hose was hooked up to my outdoor water faucet using water on my bill. I promptly went out and told her to stop in a polite tone. I turned off the water, disconnected her hose and asked her not to do that anymore. She retorted that the previous neighbor allowed her to do it all the time. I reminded her that I'm not that person and don't feel like paying for her car washes on my water bill. That incident turned into a living nightmare that lasted for the whole year I lived there. I can't begin to list the stuff she did to annoy us in that time. We had to get a restraining order. It was miserable living there.

That's horrible. There needs to be more recourse to hold landlords responsible for continuing to rent to people that they know are harassing the neighbors. I use to live in a duplex and the lady next door would go into my backyard whenever she wanted, moving my things, stealing from my fruit trees and chopping down my rosebushes. I called my landlord and explained the situation to her and she suggested if I didn't like my property being messed with then I should move. All because she didn't want to deal with it. There's something really unethical about continuing to rent to someone that you KNOW is breaking the law and making their neighbors miserable.

( they put a shutoff value inside the house and you leave it off unless YOU WANT TO USE IT) it's also used in some states to keep outside water from freezing in winter ( it called a winter drain/air value, plummer has to install, turn into insurance and your rates drop)

It’s not mental issues. It’s called selfishness. It’s called love of self. It’s called. I’m number one, it’s called. Look out for me and me only. That’s not a mental illness. And because the Me society started whining when they were held accountable, when they were not using self control, the legal and mental system put labels on them. And it’s just lack of self control. Every person in this video could’ve controlled themselves. I know we get frustrating. I have a neighbor that is really hard to get along with, but I’d rather get along with him as hard as it is and put that effort to get along with him then I see the effort these people to make his life miserable. Because it takes more effort to make him miserable. And we all have baggage, and so I tried to think OK what is my neighbors carrying? Why are they so frustrated. And I know the answers to that but most people don’t wanna know the answer. And it’s a simple answer and it’s a pretty simple fix, but nobody wants it.

I had a neighbor who was so irritating. During a heavy snow storm, our friend and his dad came over with their snow blower to clear our two car driveway. They blew the snow onto our yard, no where near that neighbor's yard by the driveway. An hour after our friends were finished, and we sat in the dinning room having coffee, we hear the neighbors snow blower. Looking out the living room window, we saw him blowing his snow from his driveway on to ours! When our friends confronted him, he said that he didn't want the snow to land on his bushes around the house. Now wonder the other neighbors were always calling the cops on them and their kids!

You have one of the few legitimate concerns that was brought up in this video and in the comments. People have to have their sleep. Now I can go night with noisy neighbors. It’s like it happens But I couldn’t go night after night after I night after night because that is going to start really affecting me. And so you do have a legitimate concern. And that’s why there’s ways to be proactive as much as possible without having to move. I know I’m elderly and so I kindly just say, “ypu know I’m old. I need my sleep , please please for me. I know you don’t have to, but if you would that be so kind and considerate.” most people respond kindly to kindness. Not all most do though. So if they don’t, then the next step would be if they’re not the owners of the home calling the landlord. And having the prove by a video of the noise they’re making and how often they’re making it. because the landlord can be liable to a point. Then I would keep the same proof and call the police if nothing else was done and asked to get a restraining order so they have to turn the music or something at 10 o’clock at night. And yes, I go to bed early but I know 10 o’clock at night with me for them making noise I’m not gonna complain because people have a life besides my schedule. But also on the same side of the let my dogs out before seven in the morning so they don’t start barking and waking up the neighbors. And if they start barking during the day we go out almost immediately. Just stop because nobody likes yapping dog that barks on and on and on. Are we perfect perfect? No no way no way no how. So I know I have more work to do to be a good neighbor. And I would hope that if I do irritate my neighbors that they would ask me and let me know the things I’m doing that irritates them so I can stop. but like I said, I’m not perfect

If you can't sit in your yard or having a window open without the neighbor's dog barking non stop then they should either put the worthless mutt in the house or get rid of it. My neighbor hated me because I built a $11,000 - 285 foot All Cedar Fence... and paid for it all. Fabulously straight... and the neighbor feel jilted because he felt that I was "blocking him out" And... he signed an agreement indicating it was OK to build the fence... and he still got mad as hell and would flip me off. I gave his son a birthday gift...and drank wiskey with him until 2am. Now he likes me.

I had a good neighbor, i never made any noise he didnt either. THEN his grown daughter moved in with her boyfriend and a kid and also got a German shepherd. She worked 6 days a week, heir father had problem walking the dog since she was NEVER home and he let the dog stand in a leach and BARK AND BARK AND ABARK for 18 MONTHS before i had enough of that gest ap0 dog wich would be so loud even with noise cancelling headphones i couldn't hear the movie. I went down and asked politely the dad to try keep the dog a little company inside, and he did for a while and then it started again, and shortly after that the dog broke free from the leach and attacked and bit an old woman. The dog went to sleep that same day and ive been living happily ever after.

It should be a requirement that before someone gets a dog that they build a solid sound proof and escape proof fence made out of brick, stone or cast concrete. I live on the 6th floor. Noone above me, one neighbor across the hall. But, we are respectful of each other. When I had a house, my neighbor with Alzheimers always scared me to death, because should come in and stare at my infant daughter. Luckily, offering her a cup of coffee and calling her husband solved it. It got to the point that the cops called me almost daily, "Have you seen Betty ", so I would search my house and find her in my kitchen with a cup of coffee. Never had neighbors like these people.

Well, don't get too comfortable thinking things like this happen only to apartment renters. I have owned my home, and the acre it's built on, for over 30 years. I have had a neighbor attempt to have my *legally parked car TOWED OFF our PUBLIC STREET* because she could *SEE IT* from her hallway window 100 feet away- and she "did not like the way it looked!" Another neighbor had *40 CATS* in and around her house and the smell of cat piss was so bad that I could not stand on my own lawn if the breeze blew in my direction! And most recently, the neighbor who shares a property boundary with me (for the previous 19 years) decided my garden and landscaping and fences were actually *IN HIS YARD,* so he ripped the fences out, stole the wood, chainsawed my trees and landscaping, set fire to the roots and THEN called *ME* a *"THIEF and a NUT!"* Naturally, I had another property survey done (as the boundary pins 'mysteriously vanished,') and as it turned out, I actually *GAINED property 8 FEET into HIS YARD!* 🤣🤣🤣 Now, he has a criminal record and was court ordered to pay for a portion of the damages. I still have to sue him in small claims court for the other several thousands of dollars to cover the clean up and replacement of everything he destroyed. People suck... especially where inbreeding is rampant. Get used to it.

Parking issues with neighbors...they cut the shrubs on our side, without asking, so they had more room to park. Oh..okay. we planted liquid Amber trees well on our side, as a visual barrier, next to their drive way where they parked their cars. Liquid Amber trees, grow fast and drop a sticky sap...smirks. Our driveway was way on the other side.

The old guy going after trucks with a hammer because the pickup was parked in front of his house, has several problems. 1. the street crew was working for the street dept. 2. The pick up truck had nothing to do with them, it belonged to a neighbor. 3. He had to pay for all damages 4. He had his 15 mins of fame looking like a crazed Karen . I just want to take a moment to thank my amazing neighbors, and HOA. Our neighbors are friendly , help other's when they can and the HOA minds there own business, I've lived here for 20 yrs and don't even know any of the member's. ღԵհɑղƘՏღ( ؔ✪̤ ◡ ؔ✪̤` ๑)
